This Nightstick AA Battery Carrier for XPP-5566 XPR-5568 INTRANT Lightsis a replacement or spare for the one that comes with Nightstick AA Battery Carrier for XPP-5566 XPR-5568 INTRANT LightsXPP-5566 and XPR-5568 INTRANT Angle Lights. A: Only eight (8) AA rechargeable NiMH batteries are included with the purchase of the Watson 8-Bay Rapid Charger with MX AA NiMH and CX AA Rechargeable NiMH Battery Kit, B&H # WAAA8LCDCXK.

A: The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR Lens (B&H # NI80056) has not been tested with the Cotton Carrier Steady Shot with Camera Vest. According to the manufacturer, a 600mm lens will place your weight forward and for some, it becomes a bit awkward. While they suggest that the system will not fail, it may not be ideal as it becomes a matter of comfort.

[0.135 lb] I bought this lamp for six reasons. 1. You can use it hands free, very useful when you are hauling your photo gear and a tripod. 2. You can adjust the angle of the beam by turning the light on its central axis 3. You can adjust the size of the beam by rotating the front lens. 4. It can produce a bright light of 1000 lumens 5. The rechargeable battery has enough capacity to produce 1000 lumens for a couple of hours and by choosing a lower lumen light options (available through light switch) it can go much longer. 6. It is USB chargeable. In the couple of months that I have used it, it has performed beautifully on all counts. I am impressed. The only remaining item is long term reliability but so far a great job indeed. I have often found it far easier and more comfortable to wear it around my neck (rather than on my head) as I am usually wearing a winter jacket and found this way to be far more comfortable with the elastic strap going around the collar of my parka and the battery hanging over my chest. I do have a suggestion regarding charging it with the micro USB cable supplied with the battery. Instead of disconnecting the micro end of the cable from the battery box, keep the micro end of the cable permanently connected to the battery box and tie the charging cable (after folding etc) with a velcro tape to the coiled cable which connects the battery to the lamp. Then use the other (regular USB) end of the cable to connect (and disconnect ) to a USB hub. This way there is no danger of damaging the micro end which is built into the battery holder and any damage there shall render the whole light worthless and such damage is not easy to repair. In other words, leave the micro end permanently connected. All in all, I am very satisfied and , in my opinion, it is a great value. Five stars. Ajeet S. 5
