This miniature boom mic version of this headset has a tiny switch for selecting 12-48V phantom power (most common), or 5V bias power for use with slate/com mic inputs on Zaxcom recorders, Aaton Cantar X3, smartphones, wireless mic transmitters, etc). The Sound Devices company has adopted the Remote Audio headset TA5 standard for the Scorpio mixer/recorder. Those using the Scorpio can plug this headset directly into the single TA5 headset connector (switch selection "Phantom") for both stereo monitoring and communication/slating.

A: If you have a headset port on your cell phone for a mini headset jaclk, they'll work,however, not knowing your application, they will get heavy if you are moving around much.if you do move around consider a set of earbuds...lightweight and almost invisible

A: These headphones can be used with a smartphone, because there is a 3.5mm stereo mini connection included, as well as the detachable 1/4 stereo adapter.

A: Yes it connects directly to a laptop. No bluetooth, no USB connectivity.

A: These noise-isolating headphones are monitors only, and designed to be used when critical listening is required in a loud environment, and a mic cannot be attached to it

[Plastic] When recording location sound, I often ask myself is that noise I'm hearing in the mix, or just leaking past my headphones? With the high level of noise reduction on these, it is much easier to feel confident about what is, and is not, part of the recording. 5

[1x XLR 5-Pin] I am a recording engineer. I do a lot of location recording for both film and bands in clubs. I needed a set of headphones that could isolate me from the ambient room sounds so that I could concentrate on the mix. These headphones sound great and are comfortable to wear for long periods of time too. 5

[1.935 lb] After purchasing and trying other isolation phones (vic firth, beyerdynamic 770m)I have finally found phones that work for me. After breaking them in I have used them in the live room and for recording drums. They sound way better then the vics and isolate better than the 770s. Couldn't be happier. 5

[1.935 lb] I already have had 3 pairs of HN 7506 headphones. I know what they look like when they are new. Someone had used these before. The left gel filled pad was not on the headphone, it was loose in the box. The 1/4 to 1/8 adapter was not in the box. I have never had a negative experience from B&H but you slipped this time. I sent them back and will buy them elsewhere. 5
