The black Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic for Audix Transmittersis a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a TA3F connector for direct connection to Audix B60 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will it work with the Sony WRT 820a?

A: Yes, this mic will work with WRT 820a series transmitters.

Q: 2. Does this come in a beige color?

A: No, the Sony ECM-44BMP is only available in black. We do offer other lavalier mics in beige finish that are compatible with Sony UWP transmitters such as the Microphone Madness MM-PSM-L Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone for Select Sony Systems (B&H #MIPSMLSFBE) and Countryman B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Standard Sens, with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sony Wireless Transmitters (B&H #COB3W4LSN),

Q: 3. Will this work with the Sony UTX-B2?

A: Yes, we use 2 of these on our UTX-B2 transmitters after our talent destroyed the original mics that came with them.

Q: 4. Does this work with Sennheiser lavs?

A: Yes, the Rode Lavalier II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (Black) has a "Sennheiser" type 3.5mm wiring configuration and will work with Sennheiser wireless transmitters with 3.5mm input connections.

Q: 5. Can this be used with condenser podium mics such as the Shure Centraverse CVG18-B/C?

A: This adapter is meant to be used with specific Audix mics utilizing a ta3f connection. This would not be compatible with standard XLR mics like the Shure CVG18-B/C.

Q: 6. Will this work on a Sony DWT-B01 bodypack transmitter?

A: Yes this mic will work with the Sony DWT-B01 transmitter

Q: 7. Will this work with the Saramonic UwMic9 ?

A: Yes, the Sony ECM-44BMP is compatible for use with the Saramonic UWMIC9 transmitter.

Q: 8. Does this work with Sennheiser ME-2 Microphone Mic Lavalier?

A: No. It seems to only be compatible with Audix mikes. I bought one to use with a Shure Beta 54 mic, but it doesn't work - even though they both have the mini-XLR connector, the Shure has one more pin than the Audix. The Sennheiser ME-2 has a 1/8 connector, so it wouldn't work with the Audix adapter at all.

Q: 9. will this power up an MKH 60 ?that needs phantom power, and then connect the output to a wireless plugon that does not supply phantom

A: No, the Audix APS910 will not work with the MKH 60 because it converts 48V phantom power to plug-in power of less than 9V for lavalier and headset mics. As a better option, use the Sennheiser K6 Microphone System Powering Module (B&H # SEK6Q) which uses a AA battery to supply phantom power and has standard XLR connectors on both sides.

Q: 10. Will this microphone work with a gopro and an adapter?

A: The Sony ECM-44BMP features a locking connector specifically designed for use with Sony wireless transmitters. Currently no adapter available which allows for connection to a camera or recorder. Sony does however offer the ECM-44B which is a battery powered unit that can be adapted to use with Go Pro cameras when using the proper adapters.
