The tan Countryman E6 Directional Earset Mic for Sony Wireless Transmittersis a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6 earset's cable terminates to a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to Sony DWT-B01, DWT-G01, DWT-S01, and DWT-V01 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Could the flex mount be removed to mount on cameras instead of phones? If not, would there be any downside to cutting off the flex mount so it could fit?

A: Hi Caleb, no the VideoMic Me won't connect direct to cameras as the connection is a TRRS plug designed for smart phones. The VideoMicro is essentially the same microphone but designed to sit on-camera. a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1183909-REG/rode_videomicro_compact_on_camera.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1183909-REG/rode_videomicro_compact_on_camera.html/a

Q: 2. Can this mic be used on samsung galaxy s5 ? The jack on S5 is on the top so would that be a issue ? If yes how to resolve it ?

A: I dont think it would be an issue so long as the jack is not over the camera. If it is then the microphone would cover the camera when attached. I have a galaxy s6 (jack at the bottom) and it works perfectly with my cinema fv-5 app.

Q: 3. I just bought a Letv Le1 pro x800, it's the second phone of the company. It works on EUI, an operative system whose base is Android. Does anyone see any reasons why the mic wouldn't be working on this phone??

A: Unfortunately without testing the units we would be unable to confirm, however from specs available, the unit features a TRRS jack for headphone/mic and should work properly.

Q: 4. i saw that there was a mounting bracket could that be used on a dslr?

A: I think you may be talking about the rode video mic micro.

Q: 5. Does the Rycote Lyre Shock-Mount of the Rode VideoMicro also work with the Rode Videomic Me?

A: No it does not, and is not sold separately anyway.

Q: 6. Would this work with the iPhone 7 if you had the headphone jack adapter?

A: With the 3.5mm to lightning adapter cable, the VideoMic Me can be connected and work with the iPhone 7.

Q: 7. I understand the VideoMic Me is designed for devices where the camera is on the opposite side from the audio input jack. I have a Galaxy S5 (which has them on the same side) - would it be possible to make it work if (hypothetically) I could find a short TRRS extension cable?

A: By using a cable you will still be feeding audio into your smartphone but keep in mind the TRRS jack on the VideoMic Me is also the physical connection point that holds the mic onto the phone.

Q: 8. The overview states that it will accommodate a wide range of smartphones. Can you be more specific on what phones the mic does and does not fit?

A: The VideoMic Me will work fine with any smartphone that has a TRRS jack on the edge of the device, as long as the camera is not blocked by the rear of the mic mount. This mount is flexible and will adjust to accommodate the thickness of most smartphones on the market.

Q: 9. Does it fit iPhone 6 when in this iPro case? a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1163493-REG/ipro_lens_by_schneider_optics_0ip_case_i60_case_for_iphone_6.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1163493-REG/ipro_lens_by_schneider_optics_0ip_case_i60_case_for_iphone_6.html/a

A: yes it does

Q: 10. Will this work with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8?

A: Hello Kurt, as long as you have a standard TRRS 1/8" input to the Note 8 this should work fine. Be careful not to block too much of the input with a third party case.
