The light beige Countryman E6i Directional Earset Mic for Sony Wireless Transmittersis a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to Sony DWT-B01, DWT-G01, DWT-S01, and DWT-V01 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this device be good for recording bird song? Birds can be 100 or more ft away.

A: No, the Rode VideoMic Me Directional Mic for Smartphones is designed to work like a "selfie" mic to record audio while recording video closeup and within in a few feet from the smartphone. It will not pick up birds from as close as 20 feet away. It is not a good mic for recording birdsongs. If you are going to be recording birds that are 100 feet or further away, you will need a specialized setup with a parabolic dish for capturing sounds from very far. You would also want to use a digital recorder that will capture higher quality audio. Please contact our pro audio department by phone or through live chat on the website and we can help you to put together a setup that will be best suited for your needs and budget.

Q: 2. I just bought a Letv Le1 pro x800, it's the second phone of the company. It works on EUI, an operative system whose base is Android. Does anyone see any reasons why the mic wouldn't be working on this phone??

A: Unfortunately without testing the units we would be unable to confirm, however from specs available, the unit features a TRRS jack for headphone/mic and should work properly.

Q: 3. Will the mic work with a Google Pixel phone(android OS)?

A: Yes, this will be compatible with the Google Pixel.

Q: 4. how do you attache to an iphone 7 plus?

A: The plug goes into the headphone jack and the little plastic clip secures to the edge of the phone.

Q: 5. Will this MIC work with FilmicPro - I'm thinking about the playthroug-function when recording (iPhone &)?JS

A: Chances are that it will but we have not tested it. Please check withe app developers on this: a href= http://www.filmicpro.com/support/ target= _blank http://www.filmicpro.com/support//a

Q: 6. Would this mic work for iphone 7 plus?

A: I bought one for my iPhone 5s and it worked but there was less than a 1 decibel improvement over the phone by itself In my opinion it was not worth my investment. I don't even use it.

Q: 7. How long will this mic be on backorder?

A: Expected availability: May 23 2016

Q: 8. I understand that the VideoMicro is designed for on camera use.But I would like to know whether or not the Rode VideoMic Me works with a Canon EOS M by using a TRRS to TRS cable. For example by using this?a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1048150-REG/rode_sc3_trrs_to_trs_adaptor.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1048150-REG/rode_sc3_trrs_to_trs_adaptor.html/a

A: you can buy one of those shorter trrs to trs cables and then when you attach it to an sl1 like i have, yo can make a custom grip to hold it... its a slimmer looking profile and with the extra space from the extension you can add a wind filter. its an overall slimmer profile and it works... you just need to figure out a way to make sure it holds and i just simply made a custom cnc piece for mine

Q: 9. Several people have asked the question about using on a dslr. I would love to use this on a dslr because it has a headphone monitor and line out. My dslr doesn't have a headphone out. This device would almost solve the audio monitoring issue that most cheap dslr's have( no headphone jack out). I know that it wouldn't be the gain controlled audio from the camera but just the raw audio coming from the mic but it is better than nothing. So, It seems like this mic would work just fine for dslr, but I wanted to be 100% sure if the jack on the mic that is TRRS(the kind with the extra ring in the connector, not just a regular TRS jack) would work with a dslr camera? Does the mic need the extra ring for power?

A: Hi, you won't be able to plug this mic (with TRRS connection) into a DSLR (with TRS input). You could use the SC3 adaptor, but you will have nowhere to mount the mic to the camera. It really has only been designed for smartphones, not DSLR cameras.

Q: 10. Would this work with the iPhone 7 if you had the headphone jack adapter?

A: With the 3.5mm to lightning adapter cable, the VideoMic Me can be connected and work with the iPhone 7.
