Whether tooling around town or traversing off-road terrain, the PortaBrace Rigid-Frame Backpack with Wheels for Sony PXW-FX9helps you get your gear where it needs to go. The exterior is made from 1000D Cordura surrounding a lightweight hollow-core hard plastic frame and thick etha-foam padding. The interior has a soft gray lining that not only protects your gear's finish but anchors the included removable dividers. For comfort, the shoulder straps are padded, as are the side support straps. The breathable mesh back and lumbar support help relieve back stress during long expeditions.

The main compartment is 19" long, which allows it to easily hold your camera, as well as lenses and other accessories. A camera cradle, pillow, lens cup, and stuff sack, along with movable dividers allow you to configure the pack to stabilize your camera and protect accessories inside the main compartment. On the sides, small compartments are available, as well as a tripod holder with a cinch strap. A separate compartment holds laptops up to 17". Additional pockets can be found on the inside of the main compartment. Off-road wheels help you navigate city streets or more rugged terrain. The wheels feature a steel axle and are removable to prevent damage during air travel. This case also includes a handy white balance card and carabiner/flashlight.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the grip remote control included with a SONY FX-9 mount to one of the grips or will I need additional hardware?

A: Hello Martin, Thank you for your question! In order to attach the remote grip from Sony, you will need our FX9RH. Like other Sony remote grips, you'll need to disassemble it from its factory setup and insert the grip part into our remote extension handle. You can see our unit on our website: https://www.shapewlb.com/sony-fx9-remote-extension-kit/. We hope this helps and we thank you for your interest in our products. The SHAPE team

Q: 3. It looks like the fully assembled viewfinder slots into a padded pocket that extends / protrudes on the outside? Is this correct?

A: Yes, there is a compartment which the viewfinder fits into on the side of the case when assembled.

Q: 4. is there a product exactly like this for the fx6? Looking for a light weight and cheap option.

[Zipper] This thing is built SOLID. So much space for storing even a fully built out ENG camera safety, and then the carry strap and side pockets to boot. So light you barely notice it, and nearly guaranteed to keep the camera safe. Easily fits an FX9 (or my FS7 Pictured here) with Extension Unit, Battery, and Lens, provided you remove the viewfinder beforehand. Excellent Porta Brace Quality as always

[Zipper] I've been looking for a case that would allow me to just drop in the Sony FX9 without disassembling the arms or viewfinder everytime. I'm used to the camera cases for the Sony ENG cameras where you can just grab the camera and go. This is the same problem I had with my old Sony FS7, none of the available cases let you keep the camera assembled for quick use. This is the first case I've found that allows you to that. Well allmost, I do have to raise the grip on the side of the camera to drop it in but the control grip arm can stay attached without any change. This is probably the closest I'm going to get to the perfect case for me.

[Yes] I recently purchased a Sony PXW-FX9, and after trying a couple of different options, found this to be the best one by far.

The bag is sturdy, well-constructed, and most importantly can fit all of the stuff I need to bring on run-and-gun shoots. Speed and convenience are most important to me, and this case checks all of the boxes.

Spend the extra $$ and get this bag for your FX9. You won't regret it.
