The black Countryman E6 Directional Earset Mic, Low Gain, 3.5mm Locking Connectoris a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6 earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Senal AWS-2000T wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this lav come in white?

A: The Tentacle Sync Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector is currently only offered in black color.

Q: 2. Can you remove the locking part of the 3.5mm connector to work with DJI Mic 2?

A: You cannot remove the locking part of the 3.5mm connector on the Sennheiser ME 2 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector (Black). However, you can still use it with the DJI Mic 2, but the locking mechanism would just be loose and can rattle with movement. A little bit of gaffer tape would remedy this though.

Q: 3. Is there a Warranty?

A: The Tentacle Sync Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector (Black) carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty.

Q: 4. how big is the mic itself?

A: The mic is about 8 long and 1/2 inch in diameter. The included windscreen is just an inch wide and the included cable is 50 in length.

Q: 5. Is there a difference between the ME2 and ME2-ii?

A: The Sennheiser ME 2 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector is now the ME-2 II. The original ME2 has been discontinued.

Q: 6. I'm looking to upgrade the lav mic on my BH #SABLINK500P2, would this be compatible powerwise?

A: No, the Sennheiser ME 4 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector is not compatible for use with the input on the transmitter for the Saramonic Blink 500 Pro B2 2-Person Digital Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System. The ME 4 has a locking connector and the transmitter has a standard non-locking input. The power rating is not the problem - the locking connector on the mic is the problem.

Q: 7. Will this Lav work with the HOLLYLAND LARK MAX?

A: No, because of the locking thread on the connector for the Sennheiser ME4, this can interfere with the connection to the non-locking input, so they may not make a proper connection. You can use a mic like the Saramonic SR-M1 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone Cable with 3.5mm TRS Connector (B&H # SASRM1) or the Shure MOTIV MVL Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (B&H # SHMVL35MM).

Q: 8. What is the Signal to Noise Ratio?

A: The manufacturer has not provided a specification for the signal to noise ratio of the Sennheiser ME 4 Cardioid Lavalier Microphone, but they have provided the equivalent noise level (self noise), which is rated at 31 dB.

Q: 9. The UPC listed is for the ME2, but further down the page you show "ME2-II". Which is the product for sale?

A: This item is the second generation version of the Sennheiser ME 2 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector, otherwise known as the Sennheiser ME 2-II

Q: 10. What power source is recommended for this accessory? I want to purchase this but I want make sure I also purchase a compatible power source for it. Any help would Be greatly appreciated

A: This power cable lets you plug your RODECaster Pro into any USB Type-A power brick or USB Type-A PSU rated for a minimum of 2.4A
