A: Due to the length of the cable and the fact that it is strictly bus powered, this is likely the result of drawing too much power from your computer's USB port. A powered USB hub such as BH #XCSH43H1HC2 may solve the problem if this is the case.

A: Strobes do heat up. Over 600 watts the heat produced can be too much using Westcott Optical Spot by Lindsay Adler for Broncolor. And can damage a light. Best is to either not use full power and not go over 600 watts. Or just shoot slow so the heat can dissipate if you are shooting more than 600 watts.

Q: 10. Can I use my Godox DP1000III Professional Studio Flash with this accessory?

A: Officially, the Westcott Optical Spot by Lindsay Adler for Bowens (B&H# WEOSLABWNS) says it's for studio strobes up to 600W/s and LED lights up to 100W. The major concern is the amount of heat that is generated inside of this tight-fitting modifier. Having said that, as long as you are not using the incandescent bulb of the Godox DP1000III Professional Studio Flash (B&H# GODP1000III) and you don't use the strobe in a way that results in a buildup of heat then the heat won't be a concern. Please keep in mind that using this in a way that's not consistent with the manufacturer's specifications might void the warranty.

[82' / 25 m] There's really not much to say about a cable, so long as it works as described (it does), the cable and connectors are durable (they are), and it wasn't ridiculously expensive (it wasn't). The only thing I need to remember is that there is a catch on the DP end that I need to press to release it... and that too seems to work properly! :) 5

[82' / 25 m] This cable does exactly what it's supposed to. We have purchased two of them to use to get from our server rack to two different monitors in a remote part of the room. Picture quality looks perfect just as if you're using a regular 6 ft DisplayPort cable. I have not run anything at 4 or 8K so I cannot speak to those resolutions, just using them on 2K monitors at 2k. The cable feels very high quality with good quality latches on the ends, it is not excessively bulky which made it nice to get through the walls. Be sure you pay attention to which end is the source plug and which end is the monitor plug. Direction does matter on this cable. 5
