The Ashly NE4400M Digital Signal Processorfrom Ashly NE4400M Digital Signal Processoris a 4 input, 4 output network enabled digital signal processor that offers ease of use, setup and control using standard 10/100 Ethernet protocol and Protea NE software. No special outboard control units are needed. The DSP signal processing library is extensive and utilizes multiple SHARC processors.

Processing blocks include an 8 x 8 matrix mixer, a full complement of variable Q graphic and parametric EQ, up to 8th-order Butterworth, Bessel, Linkwitz,and Notched-Linkwitz crossover filters, and an advanced automatic feedback suppressor. Also included are autolevelers, compressors, matrix duckers, limiters, frequency-keyed noise gates, time delay up to 1365ms on every channel, sinewave, pink noise and white noise generators.

All programming is accomplished using Ethernet or RS-232 protocol and the Protea NE software running under Windows. Hot-plug software control allows for plugging any function into any channel block even when running live audio with no latency or recompiling necessary. Automatic DHCP network IP configuration reduces network set up time. No front panel controls and multi-level software security with password access assures a tamper-proof audio system.

The ne4400m includes 4 microphone inputs with software switchable +48V phantom power and preamp gain. The microphone inputs are in addition to the 4 line inputs (cannot be used simultaneously).

A: The BSS Audio Soundweb London BLU-100 is not directly dante compatible.

A: Although ChannelStrip for GarageBand is an Audio Units plug-in, it will only function fully in GarageBand. It will run in other AU hosts, but only in demo mode.

A: The Ashly FA-125.2 2-Channel Installation Amplifier does not feature EQ or tone controls.

Q: 6. Does this unit support Audio Return Channel (ARC)?

A: This unit provides a one-way signal boost from a source, such as an AV receiver or a Blu-ray player to the television, and ARC support is not mentioned by Startech as a feature that is supported by this product.

A: Yes, the Digital Watchdog Compressor 16-Channel HD and Legacy Analog to IP Signal Encoder will work with other camera brands.

Q: 9. Does the Ashly ne8250PE amp come with all the Euroblock connectors or do they have to be purchased seperately?

A: The Euroblock inputs are embedded into the rear chassis of the component. No Euroblock connectors ae included as separate DIY items for crimping/soldering onto your own wiring.

[12 lb] It is an advanced processing signal plugin. Through complicated algorithms it is possible to identify, separate and isolate the reverberation and spatial component of a mixed audio signal. The result is impressive a more clear and more presence of the voice and the instruments. When you are working on tracks this plugin can modified the punch of the drums and increase the presence of the voice. In the bass and guitar tracks brings more clarity. 5

[12 lb] A while back I bought a KVM for my various systems and several Raspberry PIs. The HDMI didn't work for the PIs. I thought it was a problem with the KVM. I saw online that someone suggested boosting the HDMI signal, so I bought this. I plugged it in between the monitor and KVM and it did the trick. All my PIs now have HDMI. I didn't need the 5v power supply. 5

[12 lb] Nothing in it's price class comes even close. This unit is rock solid, easy to use, and offers great flexibility. It can be used as a delay, crossover, eq, limiters, and many other audio needs. With 4 ins and 8 outs, the setup can be almost endless. You can use outputs 1 & 2 as Master LR, outputs 3 -6 for delay lines, and 7 & 8 as a biamped monitor send. I would definitely spec and install this unit on any of my installations. 5

[12 lb] Been having this for 3 years non stop, and been working GREAT. Never had to even use the DC connector , cause both Hdmi bring in enough power to power on the device and boost connectivity. Video output crystal clear. I think today Bought 4 or 5 units. Will definitely recommend 5

[12 lb] I use Unveil as a plugin for Edius 7.31. Mostly I use it to improve speaches recorded in churches. It works realy great. Unfortunately Edius must run as an administratur for the plugin to work (v 1.6) But according to Zynaptiq support, they will fix it in the next Version. 5

[12 lb] I used this plugin on some dialogue in a movie I have just finished and I was surprised just how well it cleaned up the unwanted room sound on the microphone. Well worth the money. 5

[12 lb] Adding this card to Ashly Digimix24 will release the full power of the mixer, allowing you to use all input/output channels in your PC/DAW/iPad. It works flawlessly, and my only minor complaint might be that the latency is not as low as e.g. my RME UCX, but still in the very close to it and in the unnoticeable side of things (about 5-6mS full duplex). This also has to do with the sample rate used (48KHz), while UCX can go up to 192KHz, which reduces latency further. All things considered, I suggest Ashly USB-32 without a second thought! Service of B&H was also awesome, arriving to the other end of the world (New Zealand) in very short time and without issues! 5
