The TL-SG1210P includes eight Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ compliant ports that supports 30W per port with a total budget of 63W to operate surveillance devices, access points, IP phones, and more.

This plug-and-play switch features Intelligent Power Management that automatically detects your power requirements and turns off power to lower priority ports when the total consumption exceeds its 63W capacity. This protects the switch from power overload and helps prevent connected devices from being damaged while high priority devices remain functional.

Use QoS to prioritize network traffic from specific devices to help ensure smooth experiences.

With IGMP Snooping, multimedia traffic delivery is optimized for enhanced experiences for applications such as IPTV.

One Gigabit Ethernet port is available alongside a Gigabit SFP port for compatible devices.

With its durable and compact metal casing and fanless design, the TL-SG1210P is built to operate quietly, whether it's mounted on a desktop or wall.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this switch be adopted/managed in Omada?

A: The TP-Link TL-SG2210P 8-Port Gigabit PoE Smart Switch with 2 SFP Slots is compatible with Omada control. See: https://www.tp-link.com/us/omada_compatibility_list/

Q: 2. Which hardware version is this? v1 or v2?

A: As of 1/29/21 stock, we have V1.

Q: 3. TP-Link rep, what switch is your most inexpensive managed switch?

A: That would be the TL-SF1005D. If you are looking for a sub $20 Gigabit switch look at the LS1005G

Q: 4. Does it support RADIUS?

A: Yes, the TP-Link TL-SG2008P JetStream 8-Port PoE+ Compliant Gigabit Managed Switch, B&H # TPTLSG2008P, supports RADIUS.

Q: 5. Hi, the SFP+ ports are described as uplink. Are they limited to communication with the upstream switch or can they be used like "regular" ports i.e. to connect a 10GB NAS such as BH #QNTSH977XU32 ?

A: You could potentially use the SFP+ ports for other uses but the uplink port would be for an upstream switch or to the router.

Q: 6. It says it comes with a rack mount kit. What are the dimensions of the rack mount kit?

A: TP-Link has not specified the dimensions of the rackmount kit included with the TP-Link JetStream TL-SG3428MP 24-Port PoE+ Compliant Gigabit Managed Switch with SFP. However, the included rack mount kit was designed to be compatible with standard rack mounting configurations.

Q: 7. is this rackmountable?

A: The TP-Link TL-SG2008 V3 JetStream 8-Port Gigabit Managed Switch is not rackmountable.

Q: 8. Specifications say 23.8Mbps, this seems very slow for a Gigabit switch! Is this a misprint?

A: I always have issues converting bauds to bytes... so in real world, this switch let me transfer files at 103-105 Megabytes per second, almost twice of my previos switches (those small 3Com 8 100/1000mbps ports). I will buy it again if I have to.

Q: 9. So if I upgrade to a mesh wifi router which has only one ethernet in-port than my old non-mesh wifi router, is this the right device to, in effect, add more ethernet-in ports to the mesh router? Is there a performance hit using this?

A: Yes, the TP-Link TL-SG1005P 5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Unmanaged Switch is exactly what one would use in the case you described, at no detriment to performance.

Q: 10. will this work with biquiti - UniFi AP AC LITE ?

A: This will work, however being that it is 10/100 you will have a slower experience.

[External] I wanted to set up some surveillance cameras that required PoE, and this switch required little technical knowledge and worked right away!

[63 W] I used four of these to create a distributed network in an office suite for VoIP telephones and data connectivity. Having the SFP slots allowed for a fiber backbone leaving all the copper ports available. Be cautioned, though, that they come with a default IP address that you should change so as not to have any conflicts.

[External] It took a few minutes to set up and integrate with my existing Omada setup. It was easily deployed running my VLANS and powering up one of the EAP650's with no issue. For the cost, I would recommend this switch if you don't require a lot of hardwired devices.

[0.0 dB] Compact but sturdily built. The included documentation from TP-Link was short but satisfactory and should be consulted to make sure you are using the correct ports. This device seems well suited to SOHO uses if you're distributing signal from a router that has limited ethernet ports itself, and you want to power at least some peripheral devices like SIP phones with POE.

[78.13 W (Max)] B&H shipped the switch immediately after I ordered it and it was delivered a couple days later as promised. Not the first time nor the last that I will buy from B&H. Also, better prices than those on Amazon.
