Expand your network device capacity with the TP-Link TL-SL1226P 24-Port PoE+ Switch Gigabit SFPfrom TP-Link. Featuring 24 10/100 Mb/s PoE+ compliant 30W ports with a 250W power budget, this unmanaged switch allows you to operate compatible devices such as IP cameras, IP phones, access points, and more. This device has an 8.8 Gb/s switching capacity and a 6.54 Mpps forwarding rate with a plug-and-play desktop or rack-mountable design that operates without requiring any additional hardware or software. Adjusting its DIP switches puts the ports into extend mode, which increases the PoE range from 328' with a 100 Mb/s data throughput to up to 820.21' at 10 Mb/s, making it ideal for long-range camera installations. Ports 1 through 8 can be set to Priority Mode for enhanced video quality and all the ports can be put in Isolation Mode for increased security. There are also two Gigabit Ethernet ports to connect compatible devices such as network storage and two combo Gigabit SFP slots for fiber lines.

The TL-SL1226P includes 24 10/100 Mb/s PoE+ compliant ports that support 30W per port with a total budget of 250W to operate surveillance, access points, IP phones, and more.

This plug-and-play switch features Intelligent Power Management that automatically detects your power requirements and turns off power to lower priority ports when the total consumption exceeds its 250W capacity. This protects the switch from power overload and helps prevent connected devices from being damaged while high priority devices remain functional.

Adjust the DIP switches to put the ports into extend mode, which increases the PoE range from 328' with a 100 Mb/s data throughput to up to 820.21' at 10 Mb/s.

Switching ports 1 to 8 to Priority Mode assigns them to a higher priority to enhance the quality of your video surveillance feeds.

Configuring the ports to Isolation Mode divides the traffic to help protect against snooping and tampering. It enables the switch to isolate broadcast storm, improving the LAN security and data transmissions.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports are available alongside two Gigabit combo SFP slots for compatible devices.

Dual fans and a durable metal casing help the TL-SL1226P operate at optimal temperatures.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi, the SFP+ ports are described as uplink. Are they limited to communication with the upstream switch or can they be used like "regular" ports i.e. to connect a 10GB NAS such as BH #QNTSH977XU32 ?

A: You could potentially use the SFP+ ports for other uses but the uplink port would be for an upstream switch or to the router.

Q: 2. Will this work with Windows Server 2003 OS?

A: Yes.

Q: 3. Can this switch hand out DHCP?

A: Since the TP-Link TL-SG1005P 5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Managed Switch is a managed switch, you are able to hand out DHCP.

Q: 4. TP-Link has different hardware versions for the same model. Can you confirm if this one is V1, V2, or V2.6?

A: The TP-Link TL-SG105PE 5-Port Gigabit PoE+ Compliant Unmanaged Switch (BH #TPTLSG105PE • MFR #TL-SG105PE) is currently version 2.6.

Q: 5. Is the cloud or hardware controller a must? Or it can be configured via web Ui and/or app?

A: The TP-Link Jetstream TL-SG2210MP 10-Port Gigabit PoE+ Compliant Managed Switch with SFP BH #TPTLSG2, can be configured through a hardware controller or through the Omada App.

Q: 6. Are all ports on this POE or just ports 1-4?

A: The TP-Link TL-SG1210MPE 10-Port Gigabit PoE+ Compliant Managed Network Switch has eight RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE+ support, one RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port, and one RJ45/SFP Combo Gigabit Ethernet port.

Q: 7. Specifications say 23.8Mbps, this seems very slow for a Gigabit switch! Is this a misprint?

A: I always have issues converting bauds to bytes... so in real world, this switch let me transfer files at 103-105 Megabytes per second, almost twice of my previos switches (those small 3Com 8 100/1000mbps ports). I will buy it again if I have to.

Q: 8. It says it comes with a rack mount kit. What are the dimensions of the rack mount kit?

A: TP-Link has not specified the dimensions of the rackmount kit included with the TP-Link JetStream TL-SG3428MP 24-Port PoE+ Compliant Gigabit Managed Switch with SFP. However, the included rack mount kit was designed to be compatible with standard rack mounting configurations.

Q: 9. Does it support RADIUS?

A: Yes, the TP-Link TL-SG2008P JetStream 8-Port PoE+ Compliant Gigabit Managed Switch, B&H # TPTLSG2008P, supports RADIUS.

Q: 10. Which hardware version is this? v1 or v2?

A: As of 1/29/21 stock, we have V1.

[8.8 Gb/s ] This switch is just the right size and does what we need, works great. Plug and Play just like it says and the price was right.

B&H did a great job from the website to the price of the switch, to the very fast delivery. Will use them again for sure.

[Yes 1 RU] I have a bunch of POE equipment in a location that is about an hour away and occasionally a glitch occurs which requires a power down reboot. With my former un-managed switches I'd have to make the trek over to do a physical reboot. Now after using the managed switches for about 8 weeks I can do it from pretty much anywhere. Makes life much easier and all for a pretty modest price. I'll definitely pick up a couple more of these.

[4.1 Mb] I used four of these to create a distributed network in an office suite for VoIP telephones and data connectivity. Having the SFP slots allowed for a fiber backbone leaving all the copper ports available. Be cautioned, though, that they come with a default IP address that you should change so as not to have any conflicts.
