The tan Countryman E6i Directional Earset Mic for Audio Technica Wirelessis a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6i earset's cable terminates to a cH-style 4-pin connector for direct connection to Audio Technica ATW-3201 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will a Rode M3 work with this shock mount?

A: No. See below dimensions: Rode M3.. Physical Dimensions ø: 1.3 x L: 8.86" / ø: 33 x L: 225 mm Weight 0.86 lb / 390 g Audio-Technica AT8415 Specs Microphone Diameters Minimum: 0.50" / 1.27 cm Maximum: 2.13" / 5.4 cm

Q: 2. Would it fit Rode NT4?

A: You may have to thread the mic through the bands by weaving it at both pairs of bands, instead of sticking it straight through. I love this shock mount and have used it for years, on all kinds of mics.

Q: 3. Is AT8449a compatible with Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ ?

A: No, it is not. Please consider the Auray SHM SCM1. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1075694-REG/auray_shm_scm1_shock_mount_for_condenser.html

Q: 4. What version of Bluetooth and are they on the aptX standard?

A: The Audio-Technica Consumer ATH-M50xBT2 Wireless Over-Ear Headphones (Black) BH #AUATHM50XBT2 are Bluetooth version 5.0.

Q: 5. Could one get power from a POE connection for a ptz camera to provide the phantom power for this mic connected to a ptz camera?

A: Microphones are not wired to accept PoE instead of phantom power, unfortunately, even though the voltage can be similar. In addition, regardless of whether a microphone requires 48V phantom power, it will also always require amplification first, before it can connect to the input on the PTZ camera. This is because the signal provided by a microphone is "mic level" voltage, which is much lower than the "line level" voltage your PTZ camera expects, and even when powered by 48V, the signal voltage will be the same. A microphone preamplifier is required to bring this signal to a useable level. You could use the Rolls MP13 Mini-Mic Preamp (B&H # ROMP13) with an XLR female to 3.5mm TRS cable such as the Kopul XRSM 3-Pin XLR Female to 3.5mm RA Stereo Mini-Plug Cable - 3' (B&H # KOXRSM03B), in any length you prefer, to connect to the camera's 3.5mm input. The Audio-Technica AT8035 Long Shotgun Microphone requires 11 to 52V for power and the Rolls MP13 can supply 24V. You will also need to use a standard XLR mic cable like the Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series Neutrik XLR Male to XLR Female Microphone Cable - 10' (B&H # KOM3010), in any length you prefer, to connect the AT8035 microphone to the mic input on the MP13 preamp.

Q: 6. does this come with the foam windshield? or do I buy it separately?

A: Yes, and it's included. So far, I've had no problems with this mic and iOS.

Q: 7. When wired in, does it's microphone still works?

A: The microphone on the Audio-Technica Consumer ATH-M50xBT2 Wireless Over-Ear Headphones (Black), B&H # AUATHM50XBT2, is still functional while listening through the headphones via a wired connection.

Q: 8. How is ambient noise pickup on the Mic? I would like to use this for a Live Broadcast in a very noisy environment and would not like to pickup the ambient noise.

A: The Audio-Technica BPHS1 Broadcast Stereo Headset can be used in a noisy environment. The attached dynamic microphone features a cardioid (directional) pickup pattern which focuses on the user's voice and rejects off-axis sounds so it should not pickup ambient noise.

Q: 9. Technical problem, cannot get headset to broadcast/no sound?

A: Please e-mail or call us for assistance: askbh@bandh.com 800.606.6969 / 212.444.6615

Q: 10. Is there a deadcat that works with this?

A: No, there is no deadcat style furry windscreen designed for the BPHS1 headset. The models we have available for other mics seem to be either too short or too long. You could purchase the Piece-A-Fur Wind Protection by Bubblebee Industries to cut a custom size fur windscreen to fit the mic. The fur pieces are available in different colors such as black (B&H # BUBBIPAFBK) and gray (B&H # BUBBIPAFGY). You will see the other options for colors listed on the item page. If you need to replace the foam windscreen, we have the Audio-Technica AT8162 Replacement Windscreens for BPHS1 - 3 Pack (B&H # AUAT8162), as well as the WindTech 1200 Series - 3/4" Inside Diameter - Black (B&H # WI1200B) and the Auray WHF-2040 Foam Windscreen For 3/4" Diameter Microphones (B&H # AUWHF2040).

[Tan] I purchased this 2mm replacement cord after I had a replacement 1mm cord wear out in less than a year. There is such an amazing improvement between the 1mm cord and the 2mm cord that I am just blown away!!! The 2mm replacement cable is durable...it has the same thickness as the lav mic cable. It doesn't cause popping from the mic pack antenna touching the cable like the 1mm. The sound is great with this cable. I don't even know why the 1mm is offered with the option to purchase the 2mm is by far a better investment. If you are going from a 1mm to a 2mm cable, it is good for you to know that this cord is heavier than the 1mm and it will take your speaker time to get used to it. You will also have to re-adjust the earpiece so that the mic isn't pulled up to your talent's eyes. I'm more than happy with this purchase and cannot say enough good things!
