The white Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic, Low Sens, TA4F Connector, Whitefrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic, Low Sens, TA4F Connector, Whiteis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version is the least sensitive mic and a good choice for instrument applications, opera, or where the microphone will be positioned very near the mouth. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Sabine SW70 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I'm confused about power requirements. Says AA or 12 to 52V. Obviously not phantom powered since it's unbalanced. Apparently works with Sennheiser body packs. Does this mic work with typical low voltage electret power from recorders?

A: It is not designed to work with plug-in power which is typically 1-3 volts.

Q: 2. Will this work with both the Lectrosonics UM400a & SMV Transmitters? Thanks.

A: The Lectrosonics SMV and UM400a transmitters both feature a TA5M connector which is compatible with the Tram TR50 wired with TA5F for Lectrosonics.

Q: 3. Will this work with a Tascam DR 10L and will there be issues with needing extra gain to boost the sound level?

A: Yes it will work with the DR 10L with no additional adapters needed.

Q: 4. is it wired for new lectrosonics SMQv transmitters?

A: The Tram TR50 is available with connectors for most common wireless transmitters. This particular version features an XLR connector for use with field recorders and similar devices that support XLR connection.

Q: 5. Is there an adapter or some means by which the Tram TR50 might be used with an iPhone?

A: Although it may be possible to adapt this mic to work with the iPhone, you won't benefit greatly from using this good of a mic with your iPhone.Instead, I would suggest using a less expensive mic which is already wired and optimized for the iPhone. Q: 7. How long is the cable and will this Tram TR50 Mic work directly in a camcorder such as a Sony Z-190 — with a longer XLR cable attached?

A: The cable for the TR50 is 4.5 feet long. The mic can be connected directly to the Sony camcorder or used with an additional XLR cable to extend the length. The mic requires 12 to 48V phantom power and the camera will supply it.

Q: 8. Is it supposed to be stereo? When I plug it into a Zoom H1 I only get left channel

A: This mic is a single-channel mono. Set your recorder for two channel mono.

Q: 9. Would this work with a Shure SLX1 body pack?

A: Yes, the Shure UL4 UniPlex Cardioid Subminiature Lavalier Microphone is compatible with SLX1 bodypack transmitters.

Q: 10. Will I need the power supply to use this with a Tascam Dr-10l

A: No, a separate power supply is not required to use the Tram TR50 Omni Lavalier Microphone with 3.5mm Locking Sennheiser Connector with the Tascam DR-10L Micro Portable Audio Recorder. The DR-10L will supply the proper amount of plug-in power for the TR50 Mic.
