The white Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Lectrosonics Transmittersfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Lectrosonics Transmittersis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version is the least sensitive mic and a good choice for instrument applications, opera, or where the microphone will be positioned very near the mouth. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to Lectrosonics IM, LM, UM100, UM110, UM190, UM190b, UM195b, UM200, UM200b, UM200c, UM250b, UM250c, UM300b, UM400, and UM500 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. According to other Q&A's, this mic is not compatible with other setups. Dare I ask why? Seems a standard TRS setup should work?

A: Sony uses a different wiring scheme and locking connector than other manufacturers of 3.5mm microphones. Most 3.5mm microphones use what we would call the "Sennheiser" style of wiring, which is more or less the universal standard. Sony is the exception, and only mics specifically wired for Sony systems will work with them - ergo, Sony-wired mics will only work with Sony systems.

Q: 2. Does this wireless kit have the ability to search automatically for available transmission frequencies, like the SONY UWP-D11? From what I understand the Sony kit will automatically select a clear signal, even if for example the transmitter is on the subject, away from the receiver.

A: Short answer: YES! It's called Smart Tune in the setup menu. The receiver does a scan of the entire tuning range and then suggests a choice which you can accept with a button push.

Q: 3. This article includes the Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Sennheiser/trs Adapter? Thanks Renzo.

A: No, the Deity Microphones W.Lav Pro Omni Lavalier Microphone does not come with the Deity Microphones DA35 Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Adapter for Sennheiser transmitters; however, the adapter is included with the Deity Microphones W.Lav DA35 Bundle Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Adapter (B&H # DEWLAVD35).

Q: 4. Can I use this with microdot adapter that supplies 5-8v? Is that too high for this mic, given stated 2.5-3.3VDC requirement?

A: Yes, the Deity Microphones W.Lav Pro Omni Lavalier Microphone can be used with a Microdot adapter, however, the voltage is supplied by the device that the mic is connected to, not by the adapter itself, unless the adapter has a power supply. For example, the W.Lav Pro can be used with the Deity Microphones DA35 Microdot to Locking 3.5mm Adapter (B&H # DEDA35) for connection to a wireless transmitter like the Sennheiser SK 100 G4 Wireless Bodypack Transmitter, which will supply 3V DC to the mic through the input. Please feel free to contact us by phone or through live chat if you would like assistance to select the appropriate adapter for your application.

Q: 5. Will this mic work with other transmitter packs other than sony? Looking for a cardioid lapel mic for Saramonic packs.

A: The Sony ECM-X7BMP will only work with the Sony UWP wireless systems. We currently do not carry any cardioid lavaliers for saramonic wireless packs. As the brand gains popularity, it is possible other manufacturers may decide to make a solution for saramonic transmitters.

Q: 6. Smart phone spplications

A: The Lectrosonics LR Receiver can be connected to a smartphone using the included 1/8 output cable along with an optional adapter such as the Rode SC4.

Q: 7. Maybe I'm an idiot. Trying to update some older Lectrosonic gear. This states for "Transmitter and Receiver" Is this a multiuse antenna?

A: You can either use the Lectrosonics AMM-24 antenna on a Lectrosonics Block 24: 614 to 639 MHz receiver, or you can use it on a transmitter.

Q: 8. I have a UTX-B2 transmitter and need to purchase another mic. Will this one work or if not can you tell me which will? I don't want to spend $250.00

A: This lavalier is compatible with your SONY bodypack transmitter . It offers the requisite 1/8 locking 1/8 mini connector. Here is another compatible choice as well: Sony - ECM44BMP Electret Condenser Microphone... B&H#SOECM44BMP

Q: 9. Will this give enough gain to power a DPA 4061 lav? The Tasman DR-10's don't...

A: No, the DPA 4061 microphone is not compatible for use with the Lectrosonics MTCR recorder, The DPA 4061 requires 5 to 10V to operate but the Lectrosonics MTCR can only supply 2 to 4V of plug-in power.

Q: 10. Can I use a Sanken COS- 11D mic with a TA5F connector on the MTCR?

A: Yes. This will accept a TA5F COS-11D wired for Lectrosonics.
