The light beige Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Sony Wireless Transmittersfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Sony Wireless Transmittersis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version is ideal for use as a head mic in theater. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Sony ZTX-B01 and ZTX-B02RC wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What would be your frequency recommendation for someone who is traveling a lot in the U.S. (mostly in the midwest but occasionally the coasts)?

A: Any of these frequency bands will work just fine anywhere in North America under current FCC regulations. Part of the reason there are different bands is so that you can use many systems at the same time and within the same space so that they do not interfere with each other. Another reason is if you are going to be using the system in a place where there are already many other wireless systems, you can choose the one that resides outside of the frequency band that those systems run in, to avoid interference with those systems. If you are not going to be in a space where there is already a lot of wireless traffic, then any of these will work just fine, up to 300 feet line of sight between the transmitters and the receiver.

Q: 2. Does this, like the K3M, give you access to 4 channel recording in the A7siii/A1, or do you have to stack it on top of the K3M handle?

A: The Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System would need to be connected to the Sony XLR-K3M Audio Adapter in order to achieve four channels of audio into a camera like the Sony a7S III Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 3. Is there a cable/adapter to use a sanken cos-11BP mic with this system?

A: The Sanken COS-11D-BP Lavalier Microphone has a standard XLR male connector and requires 48V phantom power to function, so it is not compatible for connection to a wireless transmitter with a simple cable adapter. In order to connect the COS-11D-BP to a Sony UTX-B40 Wireless Bodypack Transmitter for the UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Lavalier Microphone System, you will need to connect the mic a phantom power supply first to provide sufficient voltage to the microphone, and then you can use an XLR female to locking 3.5mm TRS Sony cable to connect the output from the phantom power supply to the input on the transmitter. As an option, you can use the Xvive Audio P1 Portable Phantom Power Supply with Rechargeable Battery (B&H # XVP1) together with the Sony EC-1.5BX 3.5mm Locking Mini-Plug to Female XLR Cable - 4.9' (B&H # SOEC1.5BX). The Xvive P1 is lightweight and has a built-in rechargeable battery, as well as a belt clip.

Q: 4. What frequency should I buy doing most of my work in Tampa, FL?

A: For Tampa, Florida, the UC25: 536 to 608 MHz frequency band is the best option for the Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System (B&H # SOUWPD2725).

Q: 5. Is the dual audio output compatible with mirrorless cameras like the Nikon Z9? Or how would I input both mics to the camera? I'm trying to go an interview style film with 2 talents. Thank you.

A: Yes, the Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System is compatible for use with the Nikon Z9 Mirrorless Camera. You would connect the output from the receiver to the camera's 3.5mm mic input using the included 3.5mm to locking 3.5mm cable and the audio from both microphones will be recorded by the camera along with the video.

Q: 6. Hi. Is the Hi. Is the Sony SMAD-P5 Digital MI Shoe Adapter included?

A: No, the Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System does not include the Sony SMAD-P5 Digital MI Shoe Adapter for UWP-D Series (B&H # SOSMADP5). The SMAD-P5 is available separately.

Q: 7. Can you buy this system without the lav mics?

A: The Sony UWP-D27 is not available without lavalier mics.

Q: 8. Does it work with UWP-D11 devices?

A: Yes, the ECM-X7BMP is compatible for use with UWP-D11 transmitters.

Q: 9. Can I record to one XLR in, sending both transmitters to L and R channels?

A: 3-pin XLR is mono only, so it would not be possible to maintain separation of both right and left channels of the URX-P41D's output when sent into a single XLR input.

Q: 10. Hi, I am filming on the FX6. with the SMAD-PD can you control each channel (Transmiter) seperatly?

A: The Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System can be used with the SMAD-P5 adapter to deliver two separate channels of audio to compatible Sony cameras via a digital MI shoe connection.
