Mount your SSD drive on your camera cage for short cable runs and one-piece camera/recorder functionality with this SanDisk SSD Clamp with Cold Shoe Mount and 1/4"-20 Thread from LanParte. Designed to enable mounting your SanDisk Extreme portable E60 SSD or Samsung T5 SSD on your LanParte BMPCC4K-C or BMPCC4K-HC camera cage, the clamp is also compatible with other LanParte and third-party cages.

The clamp features a 1/4"-20 threaded screw and an included cold shoe adapter for mounting on your cage. The clamp has a spacer that allows you to mount the SanDisk SSD, and if you remove the spacer, you can use the clamp on a Samsung T5 SSD. An integrated cable clamp secures the SSD's USB Type-C cable, so it doesn't come loose while shooting with your camera.

Q: 5. Can the cold show mount be removed and used as 1/4"?

A: There is actually a 1/4"-20 thread under the cold shoe already. If you would like to mount this to something that also has a 1/4"-20 thread a basic spigot adapter would be the safe choice. https://bhpho.to/2TIsCA9

[0.21 lb] It comes with screws for the cold shoe adapter, which it did not say in the description. Great adapter. Ive used it several times to attach an Atomos Ninja Inferno to a Sony FS5.

[0.21 lb] I bought two. I will be buying another because they were the absolute best solution to my problem. I was looking for a way to get my Canon 600EX-RT speed light on to a manfrotto lite-tight for both a standard light stand and a C-Stand. The stock plastic foot that comes with the flash is fine for setting on the ground or a table or any other flat surface but I wanted something a little more robust to put on a stand. I screwed this down to the brass spigot that came with the manfrotto plate and its perfect.

[0.21 lb] Great mount. Slick design, fits anywhere, and is built very well. $15 seems a little expensive for such a basic thing, but I don't regret the purchase.

[0.21 lb] This is just what you think: A cold shoe with a 1/4x20 thread. However, some speedlights, such as the Profoto A1, expect to be mounted in a cold shoe with a spring to stabilize it. This shoe does not have such a spring. It does have a tiny hole that mates with a pin that extends from the A1 body when you lock it, but although that pin/hole connection prevents the A1 from slipping out, it does not prevent it from wobbling a little.

This behavior is apparently how it is designed and should not be considered a defect. However, if you want to mount a speedlight that requires a shoe with a spring, you have to go with a differnt product such as a Nikon AS-10 (which is much more expensive).
