This Vanguard VEO 2 PRO 233AV Tripod with PH-13 Video Headfrom Vanguard VEO 2 PRO 233AV Tripod with PH-13 Video Headsupports up to 8.8 lb, measures 22.8" when folded, and includes a PH-13 pan-and-tilt head. Each of its three-section legs features an independent spread as well as flip locks for fast deployment. Together, the three legs can be adjusted in three positions at 20, 45, and 80° angles to a maximum height of 57.5" with the center column fully raised. Foam covers on each of the legs provide a secure, comfortable grip while moving the tripod, and rubber feet, each with a metal spike option, further enhance stability on a wide variety of surfaces, including soft and uneven soil.

Cameras or accessories connect to the Arca-style plate with the 1/4"-20 thread, which is secured to the tripod's pan-and-tilt head using a quick release lock. The quick release plate features a rubberized, non-slip platform with a safety pin to prevent twisting.

The PH-13 head can be panned 360° and tilted -45° to 90°. Each of these movements function independently of each other and can be locked into place. For added versatility, the center column is connected to the tripod by a fulcrum that makes balancing and locking easy.

A carry bag, low-angle adapter, two Allen wrenches, and a 3/8"-16 screw adapter are included.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the legs be locked at other angle besides the stated 23, 50 or 80 degree? Some tripod allows the legs to be locked at any angle between 0 and 90.

A: No. This has set angles.

Q: 2. Is this tripod compatible with the peak design capture camera clip?

A: Yes. It is compatible with the peak design plate. That’s what I use. Anything tripod/head that says Arca Swiss will work.

Q: 3. Would you recommend this tripod for long-exposure photography using a Nikon D500 with either a 70-200mm Nikkor or a 150-600mm Tamron?

A: Yes the Veo 2 235CB would be great for long exposure with a Nikon D500 with a Nikon 70-200mm or Tamron 150-600mm attached to it.

Q: 4. Does the Alta PH-114V head come off so you can have just the flat surface for mounting a Rhino ROV Slider?

A: Yes, the Vanguard Alta PH-114V Head is removable from the Pro 2 263AV Aluminum Tripod System, so you can add a slider to the setup.

Q: 5. Can someone please confirm that the max vertical tilt up (pointing camera up) is -45 and not -75 degrees like on the VEO PV-10?

A: The Vanguard Alta Pro 3VL Carbon Fiber Tripod with VEO PV-14 Video Head System will have a 90° tilt when the camera lens is facing down and a 45° tilt when the camera lens is raised up to the sky.

Q: 6. Does this come with a carry bag of some kind?

A: Yes. This comes with a Padded Tripod bag with Shoulder Strap.

Q: 7. Can it handle a 600mm F4 lens?

A: Yes, while the Vanguard VEO 2 can support camera setups up to 17 lb, I would recommend getting a stronger ball head for a better experience.

Q: 8. where are the bubble levels located? in the specs it said there's 3?

A: The Vanguard VEO 3+ 263AB Aluminum Tripod with VEO BH-160 Ball Head has two bubble levels. One is on the top of the tripod above a leg and one is on the head on the top.

Q: 9. I just bought this tripod. I am trying to replace the rubber feet with metal spike. I haven't been able to remove rubber feet. Any tips or tricks? It seems like they are glued or something.

A: These feet are removable. They should not be glued or the like. Twist and pull counter-clockwise to get them off.

Q: 10. Does it have a built in level?

A: Yes, the Vanguard VEO 3+ 263CP Carbon Fiber Tripod with VEO 2 PH-38 Pan Head has two bubble levels.

[4.96 lb] What makes this tripod amazingly versatile is the ability to position the center pole horizontally and then angle it up and down as desired. The lever release makes this operation smooth and effective. I have another high quality tripod that can position the center pole horizontally but it can't change the angle up and down. I have to do that by adjusting the legs. A bit clumsy at times. This tripod does it using the release lever. Much easier to do.

[Spiked] I have only used it a few times but I find it easy to change positions for set up. The pan is smooth whether using the tripod or the pan on he head. Looking forward to shooting video over the holidays.

[-45° to +90°] Have had this for only a short period of time but really like it; feels solid and not flimsy. Holds camera/lens and extender very well, does not slip. Other functions etc work very well.
