The black Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic, TA4F Connector, Blackis a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Paso MW223 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this mic work with the older Sony UTX-B2 transmitter?

A: The Sony ECM-77BMP features the 1/8 locking connector that would be compatible with the input jack on the UTX-B2 transmitter.

Q: 2. Does the windscreen come off?

A: Yes, the windscreen can be removed from the Saramonic SR-M1 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone Cable with 3.5mm TRS Connector (Black).

Q: 3. I have a wireless lavalier mic system. The microphone is model sony emc77BMP and the receiver is sony wrt 805.It is not working well, since it catches a lot of interference when recording on longer distances that 30cm, and especially in the city, and as such the wireless part of the system is practically useless for me, but the lavalier mic is very good, and I want to connect it directly to my field-recorder a Tascam DR-40. The input in the recorder is XLR, while the lavalier has a jack (male). I need an adaptor from jack to XLR, and I am wondering about 2 things:1) The adaptor should be a jack (female) to a XLR (male), but is anything else needed, like a converter of electric tension between the lavalier and the field-recorder, or does the lavalier connect directly to the field-recorder?2) The field-recorder offers different settings for recording. One option is to record directly, and one option is to record using phantom-power. Which option should I use when connecting the lavalier directly to the field-recorder via an adaptor (omitting the wireless receiver and emitter system)?

A: The lav can plug directly into the DR 40. All you will need is a 3.5mm to XLR adapter and phantom power from the recorder. Then you can plug the lav directly into the XLR mic input on bottom of the DR 40. B&H # QUQAD2 see below.

Q: 4. Would this work on the Tentacle Track E?

A: The Sony ECM-77 lavalier mic is made for compatibility with Sony UWP transmitters. You would want to use something more like Voice Technologies VT500ECO [BH #VOVT0651] or the Sennheiser ME-2-II [BH #SEME2II] for compatibility with the TentacleSync Track E.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with the Tascam DR-10L, and will the plug lock to that recorder securely?

A: Yes, the Saramonic SR-UM10-M1 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Plug is compatible for use with the Tascam DR-10L Micro Portable Audio Recorder. The mic has the same type of locking connector as the recorder so it will attach securely.

Q: 6. Can this mic be used with Sennheiser's EW series wireless transmitters?

A: This lavalier mic is designed specifically for SONY transmitters and is not compatible with Sennheiser EW or other transmitter body-packs. Consider the Tram TR50 , a professional omnidirectional electret condenser lavalier microphone with a low-profile design resulting in low visibility. The TR50 features a frequency response that enhances the character and frequencies associated with speech.

Q: 7. According to Sennheiser, this mic should work with iphone core audio. Which means any recording app that is capable of switching its input should work. No?

A: I use it with Voice Record Pro and it works perfectly. Dennis Murphy

Q: 8. Does it work with rode wireless go II? As I know not every lav mic with Rode wireless go II.

A: Yes, the Saramonic SR-M1 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone Cable with 3.5mm TRS Connector will work with the Rode Wireless GO II transmitter units.

Q: 9. If I have a zoom recorder, which can output 24 or 48 phantom power, which is better to choose for this mic or it doesn't matter?

A: The Sennheiser MKE 2 Gold Series Subminiature Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with XLR Connector & MZ 2 Accessory Set accepts anywhere between 13 and 48 volts of phantom power. To avoid confusion when using the same input for other microphones, it might be simplest to use 48v.

Q: 10. Is this mic I can use it with transmitter G4 ,like mke2 gold and any lavalier?

A: No, this version with an XLR connector will not work with a G4 transmitter. You will need the Sennheiser MKE 2 Gold Series Subminiature Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector (BH #SEMKE2EWG).

[1 to 2 V] I have used several different mics to mic a flute in a loud band and the leakage from the drums usually competes with the flute. With the i2, that is over for me. Our flute player was a few feet from the drum kit and was barely picking up drums. The caridod is the way to go. The tonal quality is outstanding. It comes with a cork lined clip but it still picks up the valve noise in between songs if your musician is fiddling with them. It is very noticeable. While playing, I had no problem getting plenty of gain out of the flute. Used with ULXD1 beltpack. I am very happy with this mic.
