The black Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic for Lectrosonicsis a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 2.5mm waterproof locking connector for direct connection to Lectrosonics WM wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would the SPDR record a stereo 24-bit / 192 kHz signal if it's fed through its AES input?

A: Yes, the Lectrosonics SPDR Stereo Portable Digital Recorder can record stereo audio at 24-bit / 192 kHz when using the AES3 digital input.

Q: 2. can this pouch fit a UH200 ?

A: The Lectrosonics UH200 plug on transmitter's dimensions are: 3.1 x 2.4 x .75 inchesAn HM series transmitter is: 4.25 x 1.62 x 1.38 (10.8 x 4.1 x 3.5 cm) So this leather case is not compatible with a UH200.

Q: 3. whats is the warranty ?

A: The Lectrosonics DM1612 is covered by a one year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

Q: 4. Does it provide phantom power?

A: No, the Lectrosonics SPDR does not provide phantom power, although it provides 2-4V plugin power for lavalier microphones.

Q: 5. I'd like to boost the range of my Lectro dualSRC (a1)Rx and (block 23) IFB Tx. Do you suggest multiple sna's ( one for each unit ) or would a splitter be optimal ?

A: Diversity receivers use 2 antennas, so for the SRc, best practice would be to use 2 for the receiver. As the SRc is not a true diversity receiver unless in ratio mode, it will not dramatically increase range in switch mode (the mode the SRc must be in to receive 2 channels). It's not recommended to use the same antenna for transmission and reception, so the IFB should be on a different antenna altogether.

Q: 6. What exactly do I need to connect the SNA600A to my Lectro src dual receiver? Do I need both the BNC cable and an adapter?

A: The Lectrosonics SNA600a Adjustable Dipole Antenna uses a 50 Ohm BNC connector to interface with the host device.

Q: 7. Can I plug this directly into an SMV transmitter that's set to IFB mode and get a better signal?

A: Yes, in theory the Lectrosonics SNA600a Adjustable Dipole Antenna's BNC connection could be adapted to the "SMA" type antenna connection on a Lectrosonics SMv transmitter to widen the transmitters output signal.

Q: 8. Do they just push-on (fall-off?) or are these heat-shrink?

A: The Lectrosonics Color Coded Transmitter Antenna Caps push onto the top of Lectrosonics' "AMM" style antennae and provide a snug fit that does not require heat shrink to secure. Once installed, these caps should not come off unless intentionally removed by the user.

Q: 9. Will this pouch fit a Sony cube transmitter DWT-P01N?

A: No it will not.

Q: 10. Will this frequency (A1: 470.100-537.575 MHz) still be legal after FCC's spectrum auction is all done? Does this frequency require license to operate?

A: Yes! The remaining TV band will be 470-612MHZ. You can use these frequencies without a license subject to the new rules governing Un-licensed devices. If you are an un-licensed user I suggest reading the FCC document that explains what you are up a against. It's a bit too much to explain in this particular forum.
