Meant to be used with Snapbox quick-open softboxes, the Elinchrom Snaplux Speed Ring Broncolor Adapteris a lightweight, metal speed ring that's compatible with all Snaplux sizes and shapes. This speed ring will enable direct mounting to many Broncolor strobes including but not limited to: Siros, Siros-L, Move, and Pulso.

A: This is for the Pulso mount. The adapter is designed to work with a specific unit and its exact measurements are not published.

A: No. The drilled holes are too small for Chimera wands.

A: No, The AK-R21 is designed with two types of mounting rings to connect either round head or normal Fresnel head. So it’s compatible with AD200Pro (round head and Fresnel head), AD100Pro, V1 and nearly all the camera flashes across brands.

Q: 4. Does this speedring work with Broncolor Picolite?

A: No... only pulsing, primo and unilight.

Q: 5. What's the outer diameter of the insert? Is it interchangeable with insert for other mount?

A: The outer diameter is 8 inches. Not sure about the second part of your question

Q: 6. Does this adapter do the same job as Mola Speed Ring for Elinchrom ? According to the manufacturer, Mola beauty dishes are compatible with Speedotron speed ring and I though that maybe Speedotron and Norman speed rings are the same.

A: Unfortunately, this product does not work with the Mola Beauty Dishes. The appropriate ring for Speedotron flash heads to a Mola Beauty Dish is the Mola Speed Ring for Speedotron B&H # MOSRS. Please see the image.

Q: 7. What is the diameter of this adapter?

Q: 8. I purchased this hoping it would work with my Broncolor Pulsoflex EM softboxes. It doesn't. Is there an adapter that does?

A: No it will not fit

Q: 10. How does this work? Can I attach my Godox bowens softboxes to an Elinchrom flash?

A: It will allow softboxes of this style https://bhpho.to/2EWfe4e to be used with Elinchrom. The ring is pushed under the edge of the softbox to hold it in place.

[Aluminum] I was using this speed ring on a Paul Buff octa diffuser. Had to grind about 1/8 around the outside ring to make it fit. This was not a surprise though .. I did know it going into the purchase. 5

[Aluminum] Bought a cheap beauty dish and I drilled a few holes in the Adapter to fit the beauty dish ans now it fits my Elinchrom lights. The Norman adapter has enough lip to drill and secure to the beauty dish. Fits the flash securely. 5

[Aluminum] I bought this one and the illuminata photek elinchrom adapter ring and this one is much nicer. Definitely worth the $ The illuminata photek one is flimsy and doesn't look like it could hold too much weight. This one measures a hair shy of 5 11/16th if you need to know the outer diameter. 5

[Aluminum] I used this per photography forum recommendations to use as part of a DIY project to mount the Speedotron Beauty Dish to my Genesis strobe lights. This adapter is made of higher quality metal that doesn't bend when pressure is applied, thus drilling the 4 mounting holes was a breeze. I also bought this adapter to use to secure the diffuser sock on my Photek Softlighter II to my strobes, since the stock Genesis reflector is too big, and the Elinchrom Wide Angle Reflector costs $50. Great alternative! 5

[Broncolor] The product works as expected. I love B+H because of their prices and quality customer service. I can tell you how narrow my go to sources have become... Pretty much B+H and then @.I will never shop at @ again! Bar none the worst place to buy photography equiptment. 5

[Aluminum] This Speed Ring is well built. I'm using it on my Elinchrom lights with a Photoflex Half Dome. There's absolutely nothing 'wrong' with this Speed Ring. That said, like most softboxes getting the rods into it the first time or two will cause you to perspire slightly. Second issue (probably more about the monolight than the ring) is that getting it secured in my Elinchrom's is a bit of an art. There isn't an easy way to get this done unfortunately. 5
