The black Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic for Sony Wirelessis a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 4-pin Hirose connector for direct connection to Sony DWT-B01, DWT-G01, DWT-S01, and DWT-V01 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this flash have the red focusing beam for shooting in low light, and if so does it work on the sony mirrorless cameras?

A: The Sony HVL-F60RM2 does have a built in AF Illuminator to help with low light shooting. It does work with Sony mirrorless cameras.

Q: 2. How long is the cable for this microphone?

A: The ECM 55B features a 9.8 ft (3.0m) cable.

Q: 3. Does the Profoto app show the actual strobe power (not just adjustments like their Air remote)? Thanks!

A: The Profoto app will show different options depending on the mode in which the strobe is using when using your setup. If you are using TTL automatic flash output, the Profoto app will show you the flash power offset (in EV) as the strobe is choosing the output power. You will see a control that allows you to adjust the flash output power by up to ±3 EV. If you are shooting manual mode, the Profoto app will show the same output power setting shown on the back of your monolight strobe unit.

Q: 4. Can this flash use lithium po AA rechargeable battery?

A: Unfortunately lithium batteries should not be used in Sony HVL-F60RM2 Wireless Radio Flash. It may prevent the flash from delivering full performance.

Q: 5. Can I control the Sony HLV remotely with this trigger or just Profoto models?

A: This transmitter will only work with Profoto Air equipped flash. It will not work with a Sony brand flash.

Q: 6. Besides changing flash settings using your phone, can you also use your phone as a shutter remote? Or do you have to push the shutter button on your camera?

A: This will not be a shutter remote, but you could get a third party shutter release if you wanted.

Q: 7. The specs on this flash say "optical slave" mode. Does that mean that it can be controlled by earlier Sony flash units for TTL remote flash, or only optically triggered for manual remote flash?

A: Optical slave simply means that this flash can be triggered by another flash. No control is implied.

Q: 8. Can I use high-speed sync with my B10 units when triggering with the Connect?

A: Yes you can use HSS with the B10 and Connect.

Q: 9. Does this flash come with a stand for remote use?

A: Yes this comes with Connector Protect Cap, a Mini-Stand, and a carrying Pouch.

Q: 10. Will it work with a Tascam DR-40?

A: Yes it will work with the Tascam DR-40 just turn off the phantom power.
