The cocoa Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic for Audio Technicais a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a cH-style 4-pin connector for direct connection to Audio Technica ATW-3201 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this power an AT boundary mic and if so, what cables are required please. Application is an older boundary mic to work with a Tascam DR-40? Thanks for your time.

A: I do know that this works with AT condenser mics which require phantom power. I am ALMOST sure that this is true for the AT boundary mic as well. The boundary mic should have the mini AT connector that fits the smaller connector on the power pak, then a standard XLR mic cable goes from the other connector on the power pack to the mixer.

Q: 2. Could one get power from a POE connection for a ptz camera to provide the phantom power for this mic connected to a ptz camera?

A: Microphones are not wired to accept PoE instead of phantom power, unfortunately, even though the voltage can be similar. In addition, regardless of whether a microphone requires 48V phantom power, it will also always require amplification first, before it can connect to the input on the PTZ camera. This is because the signal provided by a microphone is "mic level" voltage, which is much lower than the "line level" voltage your PTZ camera expects, and even when powered by 48V, the signal voltage will be the same. A microphone preamplifier is required to bring this signal to a useable level. You could use the Rolls MP13 Mini-Mic Preamp (B&H # ROMP13) with an XLR female to 3.5mm TRS cable such as the Kopul XRSM 3-Pin XLR Female to 3.5mm RA Stereo Mini-Plug Cable - 3' (B&H # KOXRSM03B), in any length you prefer, to connect to the camera's 3.5mm input. The Audio-Technica AT8035 Long Shotgun Microphone requires 11 to 52V for power and the Rolls MP13 can supply 24V. You will also need to use a standard XLR mic cable like the Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series Neutrik XLR Male to XLR Female Microphone Cable - 10' (B&H # KOM3010), in any length you prefer, to connect the AT8035 microphone to the mic input on the MP13 preamp.

Q: 3. what connection is used on the back side of the plate?

A: Connections are three set screws bearing down on silver plates...tin your wires and trim to a quarter inch, then inserrt each under the plate and tighten down the set screws...could not be easier...first you might place a heat shrink tube on the cord (heat shrink inside diameter large enuff to fit over the set screw mounting) and that will help prevent the cord from being yanked out...

Q: 4. How long is the included xlr/phono cable?

A: The Audio technica BPHS1 ships with the BPCB1 cable which is 3.3 m (10.8') long. a href= http://bhpho.to/1zeJPSh target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1zeJPSh/a

Q: 5. What is the diameter of the top of the mic?

A: Approx 7/8 of an inch.

Q: 6. Can I use it with a usb cable?

A: No. This headset has no USB capibilities.

Q: 7. Will this mic work with Nikon D3200? I'm not sure whether D3200 has a plug-in power supply, but it does has external stereo mini-pin jack (3.5mm diameter).

A: It works great on he canon 3ti...and should be the same on the Nikon.

Q: 8. Do I need to buy anything extra for it to attach to my camera's hot shoe?

A: no you shouldn't need to

Q: 9. Can I connect this direct to my Canon R5 ?

A: Yes, the Audio Technica BP4002 Handheld Microphone for Speech will be able to connect to the Canon R5 via a cable like B&H # KOXRSM06B.

Q: 10. Would this microphone work with the Lumix G7?

A: Hi, No this microphone will not work this camera directly. I would recommend instead the Deity Microphones V-Mic D3 Pro Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone with Location Recording Bundle BH# DEVMICD3PROK - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1449001-REG/deity_microphones_vmicd3prokit_v_mic_d3_pro_location.html.
