The cocoa Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic for Comtek Transmittersis a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 2.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Comtek M-216 and M-72 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the sony MDR-7506work with this?

A: Yes, the Sony MDR-7506 Headphones can be used with the Comtek PR-216 Beltpack IFB Receiver.

Q: 2. Will this work with TV? Will it work with the plugged-in microphone at church? (It works fine with the microphone in the Chapel.)

A: The Comtek PR-75a AutoSmart-Tuning receiver is designed to integrate with non-compand transmitters tuned to 72-76 MHz. Both a TV and an audio system in a church would need to have a transmitter like the M-175 or BST-75 in order for the PR-75a receiver to work.

Q: 3. What is the typical range with clear line of sight?

A: The Comtek PR-75a AutoSmart-Tuning Wireless Monitor Receiver (72 to 76 MHz) will give you a range of up to around 100-feet in the most ideal conditions.

Q: 4. Additionally, is it possible to run audio out of the FX6 to the Comtek without using the headphone output? Ideally the shooter would use that to monitor audio levels on the spot, while the producer listens in from afar. Could I run audio out from SDI to the Comtek?

A: The Comtek PR 216 is a receiver. You need to go into a compatible Comtek transmitter to be able to do that, like the M-216 and that does not take SDI input.

Q: 5. how many watts ?

A: The BST-25 offers RF Output Power of 50 mW.

Q: 6. Is this unit blue tooth compatible?

A: This receiver operates on the 72 to 76 MHz radio frequencies. It is not a Bluetooth device.

Q: 7. Is this mic or line level?

A: This cable is meant to be used with line level sources, for connecting sources into a Comtek M-216 transmitter.

Q: 8. Would this mic work well for dictation with programs such as Dragon Naturally Speaking?

A: Although this can work for dictation software, it will pick up surrounding conversation in the room. This Polsen Omnidirectional USB Boundary mic would work great for recording meetings, or for remote video conferencing - but I would not recommend it for use with dragon primarily. This Polsen dynamic USB mic would be a better option, for isolated capture of a single voice for transcription: https://bhpho.to/371Sf8P USB headset mics like the Logitech H570e can also be a good choice for transcription: https://bhpho.to/3Lw7F4r

Q: 9. Will this lavalier mic work with a DSLR like the Canon 70D?

A: The Polsen OLM-10 is compatible with most cameras and camcorders that feature a 3.5mm mic input. This includes the Canon 70D.

Q: 10. does it work with Zoom H1 Handy Recorder?

A: Yes, it does
