The monthly subscription to Waves SoundGrid Rack for VENUE S6L Mixing Consolerack plug-in software is the heart of the company's SoundGrid software and hardware integration with the Avid VENUE | S6L mixing console. Ideal for demanding live environments, it enables front-of-house, monitor, and broadcast engineers to run SoundGrid-compatible plug-ins directly within the S6L, with tactile control from the console's surface knobs and no need for a computer host or external network switch.

The software moves plug-in processing from the VENUE engine to a SoundGrid server (available separately), allowing you to run up to 128 mono or 64 stereo SoundGrid Rack instances at 96 kHz, and with minimum system latency. You can load up to eight SoundGrid-compatible plug-ins per instance of SoundGrid Rack. All standard VENUE plug-in features apply, including Config and Show modes, delay compensation, snapshot automation, and detailed tactile control of plug-in parameters.

SoundGrid Rack can be configured to work with a second SoundGrid DSP server (available separately) for redundancy with automatic failover protection against live sound system failure.

A: No. The analog XLR outputs on the Yamaha DM3-D Digital Mixing Console supply line level output.

[Download] For a case made in China, this is still a really good quality build. While it's made for the Midas M32R, I purchased it for the Allen & Heath SQ-5 (it's a nicer board than the M32R for a whole host of reasons) because I wanted a foam lined case, not a hard rack rail and I haven't been able to find any other manufacturer making the case to accommodate the SQ-5. This case will do it with a little work, which is what I expected. Remember to save your Allen & Heath packing foam, then see my attached photo for details on how to make a SQ-5 fit nicely into this unit. Perhaps ProX will make an SQ-5 case as soon as that mixer gains popularity. Until then, my modification is really nice. (Note: out of the box, this ProX case looks like it will fit the M32R without any modifications.) 5
