The light beige Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic for Sennheiseris a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Sennheiser SK 2020-D wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have one 8020, if I want to get a pair, is it better to buy a pair or buy another one, i guess my question is, does the single version makes any difference with the pair version?

A: In terms of matching capsules, it is more ideal to purchase the Sennheiser MKH 8020 Compact Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone as a set, however purchasing two individual microphones will still provide great results when used as a pair.

Q: 2. How do I connect a single or pair of these mics to a Sony A7VR or Sony equivalent camera?

A: The Sennheiser MKH 8020 Compact Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone require an XLR to XLR cable and 48V phantom power to function. The Sony a7R V Mirrorless Camera has a 3.5mm mic input as well as the Multi Interface Shoe. In order to connect and power either one or two of the MKH 8020 mics to the camera you will need to use a separate active XLR adapter/mixer or an external recorder. One of the best options is the Sony XLR-K3M Dual-Channel Digital XLR Audio Adapter Kit with Shotgun Microphone which connects to the camera using a cable-free digital connection through the Multi-Interface Shoe. Another option is the TASCAM CA-XLR2d-AN XLR Microphone Adapter Kit for Cameras (B&H # TACAXLR2DAN) which will connect through the camera's 3.5mm mic input. The Comica Audio CVM-AX3 Dual-Channel Audio Mixer for DSLRs (B&H # COCVMAX3) is a budget-friendly alternative that will also connect through the camera's 3.5mm mic input. The three adapters mentioned all have two channels with phantom power which will allow you to connect both mics at the same time.

Q: 3. Is there any way I can get a wiring diagram of the USB-C Mic so I can DYI an analog adapter for it?

A: The Sennheiser XS Lav USB-C Lapel Mic cannot be converted to analog with an adapter. While it is possible to use adapters to convert the output from an analog microphone to digital (USB), it is not possible to convert a digital (USB) mic to analog. You would be better off getting a different mic like the Sennheiser XS Lav Mobile Lapel Mic with TRRS Connection (B&H # SELMM) and using it with a USB-C or Lightning adapter when a digital connection is needed. The Manfrotto PIXI Mini Table Top Tripod (B&H # MAMTPIXIB) is available to purchase separately, as are smartphone clamps with cold shoe mounts, such as the ANDYCINE Tripod Mount for Smartphone and Tablet (B&H # ANASC08), the Magnus Smartphone Tripod Adapter Plus (B&H # MASTA500BP), the Ulanzi ST-27 Metal Smartphone Tripod Mount (B&H # ULST27), or the XILETU XJ-16 Phone/Tablet Tripod Mount (B&H # XIXJ16).

Q: 4. it works with any wireless microphone systems

A: Thank you for your question. This antenna will work with any compatible rack mounted receiver or RF antenna distribution system in the same frequency spectrum that is able to have external antennas with BNC connectors

Q: 5. If using these for an ASA 1 Active Antenna splitter, should you purchase two?

A: Yes, you need two antennas. Think of the splitter as a dual channel device. It will combine all the A channels from the individual receivers into one antenna and all of the B channels into a second antenna.

Q: 6. can use this for transmitting device (In ear monitor)?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser A 1031-U Omnidirectional UHF Antenna can be used with Sennheiser G4 IEM transmitters.

Q: 7. Do i need 2 of these for true diversity?

A: Yes

Q: 8. Can I use them for iem receivers? How long can I extend the antenna with a bnc cable? Thanks

A: Yes, the Sennheiser A 1031-U Omnidirectional UHF Antenna for Evolution Series could technically be used for IEM applications, although it is not ideal. The Sennheiser ADP UHF Passive Directional Antenna for EW-D Wireless Systems (BH #SEADPUHF4701) is more ideal for this application. BNC cable can be used in lengths up to 100 feet or more, but will experience some level of loss over long runs depending on the type of cable used.

Q: 9. To get a clearer idea of 'programmable', can the button be switched between toggle on/off, and latched on?

A: Yes, the programmable button can be set to On, On/Off, Push to Talk, or Push to Mute.

Q: 10. will this work with an Audio-Technica AT8666RSP?

A: The Audio-Technica AT8666RSP is a similar style desk stand and supports similar gooseneck mic styles.
