The Intel Core i9-10900F 2.8GHz LGA 1200 Processorfrom Intel Core i9-10900F 2.8GHz LGA 1200 Processorhas a base clock speed of 2.8 GHz and comes with features such as Intel Optane Memory support, Intel Boot Guard, Intel VT-d virtualization technology for directed I/O, and Intel Hyper-Threading technology. With Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 and Thermal Velocity Boost, the maximum turbo frequency this processor can achieve is 5.2 GHz. Additionally, this processor features 10 cores with 20 threads in an LGA 1200 socket, has 20MB of cache memory, and 16 PCIe lanes. Having 10 cores allows the processor to run multiple programs simultaneously without slowing down the system, while the 20 threads allow a basic ordered sequence of instructions to be passed through or processed by a single CPU core. This processor also supports 128GB of dual-channel 2933 MHz DDR4 RAM and utilizes 10th-generation technology.

Graphically, the Core i9-10900F does not have an integrated graphics chipset, so you'll need to buy a dedicated and compatible graphics card. A thermal solution is included and protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty.

Q: 1. Will i7-11700K run on Asus Z490 LGA 1200 without Bias updates?

A: This would compatible out of box. However I recommend doing a flash to ensure full feature set and stability.

Q: 2. can this items be installed Mac Pro 2010 model ?

A: No, the Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core LGA 1151 Processor BH #INCI78700K is not compatible with a 2010 Mac Pro.

Q: 3. does it come with a heatsink & fan?

A: This unit BH #IN070110100F does come with a thermal solution.

Q: 4. Hello. I've noticed this on the box : "Game not included". Therefore, you write "One game (59.99$) included". Could you help me understand ?

A: The processor packaging itself does in fact not include the game in the box - there is a commemorative card. If you purchase this item, you will also receive a game as part of a bundle.

Q: 5. what is the differnce between this one and Intel Core i9-11900K 3.5 GHz Eight-Core LGA 1200 Processor? from what I can see everything is the same other than 3.6 clock speed for i7 but i9 is 3.5 and 5.2 ghz boost.

A: This model is clock unlocked so the frequency is more variable.

Q: 6. Can we use for network simulation like gns3 eve-ng

A: Nazeer, The Intel Core i9-10920X Processor is a very good choice for virtual and sim environments. Please insure that you do have an optimal cooling system installed as well as the correct 2066-socket motherboard. If you plan on mastering multivendor type environments and for about $50 more, you can purchase the Intel Core i9-10940X (14-Cores). You can check out the specs at https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1507538-REG/intel_bx8069510940x_core_i9_10940x_3_5_ghz.html. Thank you for choosing Intel

Q: 7. Can this item be installed in an iMac?

[128 GB] I upgraded from an i7 hex-core year 2016 processor to this one. This new one made a big difference in performance of compiling times for both software and video editing. My computer has that whole new feel to it performance wise. I expect to continue using this one for at least the next four years - worth every penny of the investment.

This processor boasts 10 cores (20 with hyperthreading turned on).
Clocks in at 2.81 GHz (I don't overclock - I want reliability)
640kb L1, 2.5mb L2, and 20mb L3 caches.

Overall I am very satisfied - almost two months of use (I keep my computer running 24/7 for various home automation tasks) and no hints of problems.

I use the stock cooler fan that came with it - and the average core temperature stays between 30-40 degrees Celsius, and peaks to about 80 when running heavy processing applications.

[PCG 2015C] amazing performance and i saved a few bucks because its a locked/non GT version since i had a PCIE card. PL1 limit increase turns this into a beast matching 10900k

[20 MB] I wanted the high core count for gaming and streaming in a mainstream socket and had already a bad experience with a Ryzen 9 3900x that died from a month of usage so, to avoid that, I decided to switch to Intel. I also don't care about achieving the highest clock speed so the non overclockable version was fine for me.

So far so good, hardware monitor reports idle at 4.6Ghz and turbo up to 4.9Ghz on 4 cores while running warzone at 144fps and streaming on obs at slow preset and resolution 1600x900. Sometimes I get 2 cores at 5Ghz. It gets up to 80C with a 240 radiator cooling it. But thats not as hot as my ryzen used to get.

Overall is a good processor. At the time of purchase it was at the same price as a new Ryzen 9 3900x.
Is it better than AMD counterpart? For productivity task, no. The lesser core count makes it worse performing (although not bad) at that. For gaming? yes. The higher clock speed will get you higher fps.

[LGA 1200] The CPU game is a rigged game, where there is always a range between the latest/greatest CPU at a huge premium on one end, and the standard/commodity CPU at consumer pricing on the other. This CPU is at the higher end at the moment (it will come down in price as the new models are added), just below the level of diminishing returns in pricing, but at the top of the performance level. Paired with a lot of memory (which is cheap these days) it does wonders for Photoshop.

[65 W] I bought the i9-10920X as a replacement for my i7-7820X because I was in need of more PCI express lanes. Overall, it feels more responsive and the extra 4 cores are nice to have. However, if I was building a brand new machine, I would probably wait for Intel's next gen to come out.

[Dual Channel] First CPU upgrade in 7 years. Coming from a I7-4930K to this new I9-10900F and can instantly feel the difference in processing speed. Encoding videos with software such as Adobe Premiere Elements are a blaze with it's 10 cores. Did not need to overclock and did not need the K version of this CPU. Well done Intel!
