The tan Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic for Audio Technicais a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a cH-style 4-pin connector for direct connection to Audio Technica ATW-T5201 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi,Wondering if this headset can be used with a ham radio transceiver (ic9100).This radio is designed for electrect microphones but I am willing to build an adapter if I can get it to work that way. Many thanks

A: The headphone jack is a 1/4 stereo jack and the microphone is a 3 pin balanced xlr plug. If you have the neccessary equipment on the other side, sure. I run this through a mixer and I had to amplify the microphone a bit.

Q: 2. How could I use this with the canon 60D?

A: The AT875 shotgun mic requires phantom power which a DSLR camera is not able to provide. To connect this an similar mics that require phantom power, an additional preamp/adapter will be necessary for connection and power. The Beachtek units are a great choice.

Q: 3. I wanted to use this headset to dictate to a computer while listening to output audio. From the connectors, I am not sure it will work. I have an andrea pure audio external sound card with two inputs for headset and mic. How would that work with this product?

A: It is not made to use with a computer. This is a professional broadcast headset for broadcasting sporting events and this type of thing. It has 2 connectors on it one XLR and one neither one is available on a computer. It is normally plugged into a broadcast console that has the ability to accept both types of connectors. I would check with computers where they will have headsets for computers that will have these same functions. Only they are purpose built for computers.

Q: 4. Is there a repair kit to replace only the elastic and rubber bands?

A: The replacement parts you need are available directly from Audio-Technica. You can reach them by email at parts@atus.com or by phone at 330-686-2600.

Q: 5. Did the Audio Tcnica Pro 24 CM work with an iPhone 5...?! What kind of accesories can i buy in b&h to make it work...?!

A: don't know

Q: 6. I have a Galaxy S9 Android phone. Is the connector in the TM-St1 removable so I could use the Rode SC7 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Patch Cable B&H # ROSC7? Or is there a TRS to TRRS adapter I could purchase?

A: The connecting cable is not removable.Use this adapter:Rode SC4 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Adaptor B&H # ROSC4

Q: 7. Can I use it with a usb cable?

A: No. This headset has no USB capibilities.

Q: 8. Is the AT8035 moisture resistant?

A: No, the Audio-Technica AT8035 Long Shotgun Microphone is not moisture-resistant. As an option for a long shotgun microphone that is moisture-resistant, you can use the Deity Microphones S-Mic 2 Moisture-Resistant Shotgun Microphone (B&H # DESMIC2) or the RODE NTG3B Moisture-Resistant Shotgun Microphone (B&H # RONTG3B).

Q: 9. Is this battery powered or externally powered? One review mentions changing the battery ("required needle-nose pliers"); but the specs here say "Power Requirements = 2-10VDC plug-in power". So which is it?

A: According to the Audio-Technica page for the Pro 24-CM underneath the "Features" tab; You can use it with an LR44 battery in microphone inputs that are not equipped with plugin power. Or, you can use it without the LR44 battery with microphone inputs that are equipped with mic plugin power. https://www.audio-technica.com/cms/wired_mics/97a500a93cd279a8/index.html

Q: 10. What is the length, in cm, of the grill so I can determine which size fuzzy windscreen? Thank you!

A: Windscreens are generally measured by diameter, and the diameter of the Audio-Technica AT875R Short Shotgun Microphone is 0.83"/21 mm. B&H # AUWSS2012 would be recommended as an outdoor windscreen for this model.

[Tan] These microphones are superb. I do nature and location recordings and every chance I can take to use omni mics I take it. I upgraded to these from a cheaper pair and now I'll never look back. Not only do they have an amazing flat low-noise response, they also have great off-axis response and, so far, they've tolerated humidity and low temperatures (still above freezing) without any problems whatsoever. They are so natural and tansparent that you really don't have to worry about coloration, if you just focus on nailing your placement and location the mics will deliver. Omnidirectional mics in general are incredibly underrated and underused because people don't appreciate all the benefits they offer beyond just the polar pattern. Love these mics and I can't recommend them highly enough!

[Tan] Had a earlier model of this mic that went bad, so we replaced it with this one. Our pastor says he prefers the way these feel on his bald head and I love the way it sounds. Worked great with our Sennheiser wireless transmitter. Wouldn't have guessed that this tiny mic would carry the value of its price, but in hindsight I'm glad I found it.
