The light beige Countryman E6 Directional Earset Mic, Medium Gain, 3.5mm Locking Connectoris a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6 earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Happie Amp or Empower Sound and Amazing Amp wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it plug into a receiver and play through any speaker?

A: the OLM-2 is designed to be connected and used specifically with the Sennheiser wireless system transmitter and features their proprietary connector.

Q: 2. Will this work with a Cannon HD Vixia HFR400?

A: this mic is wired to work with wireless transmitters ( sony in this case ) - the camera mic input also supplies plug in power while allowing microphone sound to pass but is wired for stereo mics. this will work but will produce sound only on one channel...

Q: 3. Will this work with Tascam DR-10L Digital Audio Recorder?

A: I don't have any experience with the Tascam units, but a quick look at the DR-10L on Tascam's website gives me two reasons to say yes, it will work:1: The image shows what looks EXACTLY like the OLM-2 lav (note the stair step case shape where the wire enters the mic capsule).2: The specs indicate a 'Lavalier 1/8 screw-down connector (Sennheiser format) lav mic'.

Q: 4. What recovers does it work with?

A: I use this microphone with my Zoom H1 for interviews to use as back up for my wireless microphone setup.

Q: 5. Hello. I ordered from you. Why did you write the address wrong? Now I have a problem at the customs. Who will handle it? I don't understand why you did it.

A: That would be an issue for Customer Service. They can be reached by phone at 800.221.5743 or 212.239.7765. As an alternative, you can send them an e-mail to CS@bhphotovideo.com.

Q: 6. Can this be used with a Comica Audio CVM-WM200A system?

A: No, this version of the OLM-2 is wired for use with Sony UWP transmitters only and it is not compatible with Comica transmitters or any transmitters other than those from Sony. The OLM-2 that is compatible with Comica transmitters is the version that's wired for Sennheiser ew and Senal AWS-2000 transmitters -- Senal OLM-2 Lavalier Microphone with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sennheiser ew & Senal AWS-2000 Series (B&H # SEOLM2).

Q: 7. Can this work with the RDELink? I need to replace the original mic. If not, what works with the RDELink? Thank you!

A: Unfortunately at this time we do not carry a 3rd party replacement mic that is recommended or confirmed for use with the Rodelink system.

Q: 8. Would the Sony UWP compatible version fit with an Olympus WS-823 voice recorder? The Sennheiser compatible version doesn't click in properly and can easily slip out.

A: This mic will not work with a voice recorder. The locking connector is not compatible and the mic requires power not offered by the recorder. Consider the ME-52W Noise Cancellation Microphone from Olympus is the right solution. Plug the ME-52W Noise Cancellation Microphone directly into your digital voice recorder's 3.5 mm plug for uni-directional recording in cacophonous situations. For flexibility, the ME-52W Noise Cancellation Microphone is supplied with windscreen, tie-clip and 3.3' extension cord. Make more accurate transcriptions when background noise is lowered Mic works for digital voice recorders (does not work for computers)

Q: 9. This MKE2 is giving me distortion even though my levels are far from clipping. I got this mic with the Sennheiser AVX bundle and recently shot a training video. My levels peaked around -24 to -12db, however, during playback I can hear high frequencies distort. It gets much noticeable once I process the audio and raise the level. I normally record straight into camera and also into an external recorder with this lav mic, however this issue keeps recurring. Why does this mic keep distorting my sound? Any help or tips would definitely be appreciated!

A: There are a number of things to consider when trying to source the cause of distortion. The question is where is the distortion occurring? Is the mic element overloading due to high SPL, or is the transmitter clipping because of improper gain staging? If the receiver is outputting line level and the input on the camera or recorder is set to mic, that may be the cause. Also, the gain settings on the preamp of the recording device needs to be set accordingly as it is a major part of the audio chain as well.

Q: 10. will this work on the new DJI Mic?

A: No, the Senal OLM-2 Lavalier Microphone with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sennheiser EW & Senal AWS-2000 Series is not compatible for use with the DJI Mic 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder. The DJI Mic transmitter has a non-locking 3.5mm connector which does not work with the locking 3.5mm connector on the OLM-2.
