A: The ARRI Basic Cine Set for Canon C300 Mk II is not compatible with the C500 Mk II / C300 Mk III.

A: Yes, you can use the touch focus feature on this with lenses that are EOS AF type.

Q: 4. With this monitor, am I able to use the original “clam shell” at the same time? I guess to be more specific, is there a splitter or additional jack that allows video to be displayed on both monitors?

A: That is not possible.

Q: 5. will this screen work with canon c300 mark ii? how does it attach?

A: Use the Canon LA-V1 LCD Attachment Unit for EOS C200 B&H # CALAV1 and attach it to the top handle front of either the C300 Mark II or C200.

Q: 6. Wishful thinking more than anything, it does say specifically for the C200 , so here goes: Will this work with the C300 II?

A: We (and probably Canon) have not tested this so we only have the opinion that while this monitor may well connect and show an image, we doubt greatly that touch screen control will be possible. When the camera comes out, hopefully someone will be able to test this.

Q: 7. How many 1/4-20 screw mounting holes does this have? Is there one on the bottom, or is there only one on the side?

A: There are two 1/4 20 threads on the Canon LM-V1. There is one on the side of the monitor and one on the bottom.

Q: 8. Given the new title and description for this item, - has Canon officially extended support for the LM-V1 with the C300 MkII and C700?

A: Yes, it has.

Q: 9. What lenses work with the tap screen focus feature?

A: Any EF mounted lens that supports autofocus. It works just like a DSLR would work when autofocusing with it.

Q: 10. can work with no handle unit with C200B?

A: Yes, you can use this monitor without the Canon LA-V1 LCD Attachment Unit for EOS C200. There are at least two screw holes on the monitor that we guess are 1/4 -20. Mounting options should be straight forward.

[15 mm LWS] Waited for this for a long time, the only option for two years was $$$. This cheese plate is super useful, for a V-mount plate, for a Rode Go rx, for mounting a monitor when the cam is on a gimbal. Fit's perfectly on the c500 MkII and the three arri mounts are great. 5

[15 mm LWS] I called SHAPE before the purchase and talked with their technician Nico. He told me that the modifications have been made to the product. So I made the purchase, and am now super happy with the product. It works perfect with my C500 MK II. I highly recommend it. 5

[15 mm LWS] Despite the other reviews, I have found this to be an excellent addition to the C300iii. I can see the full screen no problem at all. As far as weight, it's not something I would consider heavy at all. It weighs about as much as it looks in the photos, no surprises. The attachment is rock solid, this thing will not be falling off your monitor. Like all Zacuto products, it's a little bit overbuilt, but in the context of production world, that just means it's not going to break on you out in the field. I had rented the Canon EVF-70, and believe it or not I like this setup better. It's more flexible being able to use either the monitor or the eyepiece depending on your shooting scenario. Overall, I like it. 5

[15 mm LWS] The clamshell monitor/audio combo on my C300 mkii is my least favorite part of the camera. The combination of being able to place this monitor anywhere on the camera with a small friction arm, the button layout that allows you access to all aspects of the camera and its menus, and the touch screen auto focus breathes new life into the C300 mkii. Requires a firm ware upgrade. 5

[0.55 lb] I was looking for a solid baseplate for my C500 mark ii and SHAPE delivered again! I can attach my tripod plate underneath. I recently had to work with the C300 Mark iii and I can use the same plate. 5
