The black Countryman E6i Directional Earset Mic for Sennheiser Wirelessis a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Sennheiser SK 2020-D wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the Sony A7m2 work with the mke 200?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser MKE 200 Ultracompact Camera-Mount Directional Microphone is compatible for use with the Sony a7 II Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 2. How to reduce feedback

A: Proper placement is crucial. You want to ensure you are close enough to your source --in this case, the mouth of your presenter-- to achieve adequate gain with minimal ambience, yet far enough away as to not to pick up every breath between phrases. Once you've found your sweet spot, implement a few bands of parametric eq to catch the first frequencies that begin to propagate. Parametric eq's are easy to come by on most digital consoles but if you are working with analog gear, inserting a graphic eq at the end of your channel --after compression and before any channel groups or mix busses you may be routing through-- should also allow you to notch out the first few problematic frequencies and achieve adequate gain without carving away too much of the tone and timbre of your presenter's voice.

Q: 3. Is this transmitter compatible with the G3 series receiver (Frequencies are the same- Group A)?

A: Thank you for your question. The G4 transmitters and receivers are backwards compatible with the G3 systems as long as they are in the same frequency group.

A: Yes, there is a 1/4 20'' thread on the bottom of the shoe mount.

Q: 6. I understand this mic was made primarily for cameras and smartphones/mobile, but would this work perfectly well on computers as well for video conferencing?

A: In theory, yes, teh Sennheiser MKE 200 Ultracompact Camera-Mount Directional Microphone could be used with a computer for video conferencing. If the computer does not have a dedicated 3.5mm microphone input connection, an interface such as the Audio-Technica Consumer ATR2x-USB 3.5mm to USB 2.0 Type-C Audio Adapter (BH #AUATR2XUSB) could be used: https://bhpho.to/3uzc5Ra

[Black] I purchased this 2mm replacement cord after I had a replacement 1mm cord wear out in less than a year. There is such an amazing improvement between the 1mm cord and the 2mm cord that I am just blown away!!! The 2mm replacement cable is durable...it has the same thickness as the lav mic cable. It doesn't cause popping from the mic pack antenna touching the cable like the 1mm. The sound is great with this cable. I don't even know why the 1mm is offered with the option to purchase the 2mm is by far a better investment. If you are going from a 1mm to a 2mm cable, it is good for you to know that this cord is heavier than the 1mm and it will take your speaker time to get used to it. You will also have to re-adjust the earpiece so that the mic isn't pulled up to your talent's eyes. I'm more than happy with this purchase and cannot say enough good things!

[Black] My Countryman E6 microphone was purchased for use with a Shure wireless belt transmitter. I bought this repacement Countryman cable so I could use it with a Sennheiser transmitter. It works just as it's supposed to.

[Black] Grateful that Countryman E6i theater mic has cable that can be disconnected from the earpiece and mic and switched out so you don't have to buy the whole set but once! My mic gets a lot of wear and once the cable starts cutting out on me, I know I need a new one. So I order from B&H who has the best prices and most reliable source.
