Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this accommodate the Ursa EVF and 2 batteries? Detached is ok. Thanks -

A: Yes, PortaBrace Ultra-Light Camera Case for Blackmagic URSA Mini (LONG) does clear the top of the camera with handle attached. Also there is extra space that could be used for lenses or batteries. See this image https://bit.ly/3p2Wmbk

Q: 2. Will the dimensions of this bag fit in airplane overhead bins?

A: Airline carry-on dimensions will depend on the flight. Generally overhead carry-on dimensions are a max 22" x 14" x 9" (HxWxD). The PortaBrace Ultralight Cordura Camera Case for Canon EOS C500 Mark II Camera Rig dimensions are 21.00" x 13.25" x 13.00" and unfortunately one of the dimensions exceeds what is needed.

Q: 3. can the wheels be removed to pass airline on-board regulations of 62" linear luggage size?

A: No. wheels are integrated into the case.

Q: 4. Is this bag supposed to come with a velcro strap inside to hold down the camera in place? The last image shows it does but mine never came with one.

A: According to Porta Brace the following list is included in the box with the RIG-C200: 1 x CS-CR-CINCH - Camera Stabilizing Cinch 1 x CC-STUFFER - Lens Support Pad 1 x CARA-BRNZ - Carabiner Flashlight 1 x RX-STRIP - Elastic Accessory Holder 1 x PKT-2B - 2-Pouch Hanging Pocket 1 x HB-20SS - SuperStrap 1 x DVO-HP - Long Hanging Pocket 1 x DK-RND - Padded Lens Wrap Feel free to email askbh@bhphoto.com with any additional questions you may have.

Q: 5. Is there any wiggle room for the C300 MKII if it has accessories attached like a wooden camera base plate and NATO side arm?

A: We contacted Jason Cases and they were not sure. In my experience such cut outs are based only on OEM gear.

Q: 6. Will this case fit a C300 Mark 1?

A: There should be no issues, as the Canon C300 II is a little beefier than the I... However, the cutouts are designed specifically for the Mark II and its parts and may not provide the exact same snug fit that is intended.

Q: 7. Does it fit with the monitor on the front? I only see pictures with the monitor on the top :/

A: This designed for the monitor on top.

Q: 8. Are the any internal customizable dividers supplied with this case?

A: Yes they are. This case includes padded pouches, dividers and a lens cup.

Q: 9. Will this hold three ARRI 650 plus fresnel lights with barndoors, scrims and filter frames as well as three stands?

A: Yes this bag is capable of holding (3) Arri 650 Plus Fresnels with accessories and light stands that are 29" or below when collapsed.

Q: 10. Will a Canon C200 (with grip) fit inside?

A: The C200 with grip attached is approximately 7.0 x 6.0 x 8.0 in. (178 x 153 x 204mm) The interior of the bag is 16 x 15.5 x 9 / 40.64 x 39.37 x 22.86mm. You will have plenty of room for the camera and all the other bits you will want to carry with it.

[7.35 lb] Porta-Brace is Porta-Brace. Always well made. The internal dividers were easy to install. We have a 4-piece cine lens set and the zoom lens that came with our FS7, plus several adapters. All fit easily.

Soft sides, so you need to be cautious, but not a big issue.

[Canon EOS C300] I love Porta Brace for their consistently high quality products, and though this item in particular has a few design flaws it's still an incredibly high quality product which over 3 years I have purchased multiple of, all of which still come on every single shoot and are perfectly in tact (sellable even).

As others have mentioned, the internal dividers are slightly (about 2cm) too short to reach from end-to-end – I have zero idea why they are made like this. However, there is obviously enough length and strength on the velcro to connect the two sides. And although the actual dividers are too short.. I have surprisingly never had a divider come loose.
Secondly, the dividers don't offer a lot of options in terms of customisation. If you don't install the long divider down the middle, you can't really do anything else with the dividers. Also once installed each section is too large to (I feel) safely and securely hold a photography lens. Each section is either too tall (if the lens is laying down) or too wide (if the lens is standing up) and therefore will roll and bounce around is the case. It works great for accessories and audio equipment, but I wouldn't use this case for lenses.
And finally on a positive note, I have seen others mentioned concerns about the handle and it not feeling tough. I would agree with this except after 3 years of using the handle with the case filled with equipment – none of the handles on my cases have ever broken.. and that's Porta Brace for you.

[Canon EOS C300] I purchased this for my C300 Mk III. Considering it has the same exact body design as the C500 Mk II, it works great! I can put my fully kitted out rig inside with no problems. I have not tried with the C300 extension kit w/ v lock battery. It looks like there would be enough room.

This thing is rugged, it has lots of pockets for accessories (cables, batteries, monitors, tools, etc). You could get an extra lense in there if you want.

Its seems very well padded. Im confident my gear will stay protected while in this bag.

My only complaint is that I waited roughly 6 weeks for this bag to ship due to a back order issue. Once it was in stock, I had the bag in my possession within 2 days. Not gonna knock off stars for that, but it was frustrating.

I love that I can pull out my kitted camera and its good to go whenever I need it. When the top handle and monitor is on the camera, it becomes quite tall, but I can fit it in the bag with no problems. Would purchase again.

[Canon EOS C300] I was looking for a bag that would allow me to keep the C300 MKII assembled with the top handle so I don't have to waste time in the field reassembling the top handle each time I need to shoot. This bag is an affordable solution.

This bag works well for a one-man band. Ideal for press. It is capable of holding a C300 MKII with the top handle assembled, a shotgun mic, lav mics, lenses, extra batteries, and memory cards.

If I'm covering an event, like a press conference or rally, I park the car, put on the backpack, throw my tripod on one shoulder, and quickly setup my next shot on location.

[7.35 lb] I was looking for a semi soft bag to keep my Helix Jr gimbal and GH5/Atomos rig fully assembled but protected on car rides and venue changes. The gimbal is an awkward shape but this bag works great. I customized it with extra dividers from my Thinktank roller so the gimbal is nice and snug.

The bag is large - I have room to spare on the sides but needed the height. Plenty of extra room and the side compartments are great.

The bag doesn't come with very many dividers, so make sure you have your own if you need to add a lot of sections.

[7.35 lb] This thing is built SOLID. So much space for storing even a fully built out ENG camera safety, and then the carry strap and side pockets to boot. So light you barely notice it, and nearly guaranteed to keep the camera safe. Easily fits an FX9 (or my FS7 Pictured here) with Extension Unit, Battery, and Lens, provided you remove the viewfinder beforehand. Excellent Porta Brace Quality as always

[7.35 lb] I wanted a case that would protect my Zeiss lenses and my Nikon D800E when working in the field, mostly landscape shooting out of the back of my hatchback. I am very pleased with the flexibility of this case and many dividers that come with it. It feels very sturdy and provides good protection to the gear. It is tall enough to accommodate the camera with a 50 Makro attached and a 105mm Nikkor, three other Zeiss lenses and some DSLR video gear, including a shotgun microphone.
