They should of displayed more pictures at different angles. But there are four(4) diffraction grating slots... two on each side towards the front. You should know that this isn't the hightest quality shotgun microphone on the market, but for the price it's pretty much what you can expect. The sound quality is very professional. It rejects most sound arriving from the sides and completely rejects sound arriving from the rear. It does exactly what Audio-Technica stated.
