The tan Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic for Comtek Transmittersis a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 2.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Comtek M-216 and M-72 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Q: 1. If I use two OLM-10 microphones connected to a single camcorder via a Y connector, will there be any feedback issues? I know that purchasing one OLM-20 will not result in feedback, but I would prefer to purchase two OLM-10 microphones if there is no feedback issues. Thanks!

A: Using a Y connection is NOT recommended. The results will probably result in an audio track that is very distorted or over-modulated. Use a small mixer: The Azden CAM-3 3-Channel Mic Mixer allows you to add and mix sound from three Azden wireless or hard wired microphone sources simultaneously.Input Connections: -------------------------Input 1 and 2: 3.5mm MonoInput 3: 3.5mm Stereo ------------------------Output Connectors: 1 x 3.5mm stereo

Q: 2. All I get is a hiss and no recording with my canon 600D. Why does it not work with DSLRs like it says?

A: Please check the battery in the microphone, that it is inserted correctly and the microphone is powered on. If this does not remedy the issue please contact our Customer Service team directly: Customer Service Team 800.221.5743 cs@bhphotovideo.com

Q: 3. So this you just plug into your output and will transmit the signal in the designated channel and then you can have as many PR-216 receiver to listen to the signal? Am I getting it right? is there a maximum number of receivers that I can use, will the signal get weak if I have a large number of receivers?

A: There is no limit on the number of receivers that can be used with the Comtek BST 75-216 P Mini Base Station Transmitter and the number of receivers does not affect the signal coming from the transmitter. There are different settings for the transmitter and recommendations for setup that can help to improve performance. Here is a link to the user manual which has all of the information: http://comtek.com/downloads/BST-75-216_manual.pdf

Q: 4. Is this mic or line level?

A: This cable is meant to be used with line level sources, for connecting sources into a Comtek M-216 transmitter.

Q: 5. What software--if any--do I need to record meeting audio using the microphone?

A: In order to record audio using the CAD U7 Boundary mic, you will need an audio recording software. There are many free software downloads available. We recommend Audacity which is both Mac and PC compatible, and will allow you to record, edit and export your audio files. Q: 6. what is the difference between extended low end and standard EQ?

The "standard EQ" version of the Comtek PR-75a AutoSmart-Tuning Wireless Monitor Receiver enhances speech intelligibility and is designed for tour guide and assisted listening applications.
