The Heil Sound Pro Set 3 Studio Headphones Reviewwere designed by Bob Heil for a wide variety of applications such as studio recording, casual listening, amateur radio, Internet, and commercial broadcasting. The over-ear headphones weigh only 7 oz and feature padded earcups, so they will be comfortable and non-fatiguing over long periods of time. They provide a wide frequency response of 10 to 22,000 Hz.

To accommodate different listening situations, the headphones come with three detachable cables: a 5.9' flexible straight cable with an 3.5mm headphone plug, a 5.9' straight cable with an iPhone and iPod compatible 3.5mm plug, and a 9.8' coiled cable with an 3.5mm headphone plug. The cables have twist lock terminating 3.5mm gold-plated connectors. A 1/4" gold-plated screw-on adapter comes included with the headphones.

A: The Heil Sound PL2T Overhead Studio and Broadcast Boom Mount will work with the SE X1's shockmount provided you have a 5/8"-27 threaded opening. Manufacturer's often include a couple of adapters for interchangeability, but if you happen to not have the right size, you can still use the Broadcast Boom arm by getting the Auray AD-5838-B 5/8"-27 Female to 3/8"-16 adapter.

A: This windscreen is recommended for specific Heil microphones, but it would fit on other large diaphragm mics, such as the Blue Yeti.

[1/4"] Great clamp, high quality, works perfect with my boom arm. I am working from a temporary podcast booth and it attaches securely so your safe with your Heil mic on the other end. 5

[Stereo] These are great sounding headphones... I am a live sound enginer and these do an amazing job. Dont get fooled by the popular style headphones on the market, go with the Heil Pro Set 3.... I have three sets and like any good headphone they get better with time... 5

[10 Hz to 22 kHz] Put my Heil Sound PL2T mic boom away awhile ago & the clamp went missing. :P This replacement fits perfectly (expected) and feels solid with a substantial mic on the boom, mounted on a wood table edge. 5

[10 Hz to 22 kHz] I purchased this clamp to mount an O. C. White Pro Boom to my desk. It's perfectly compatible with the Pro Boom, and holds it securely, with a large-diaphragm mic on the boom. It's significantly cheaper than O. C. White's similar offering, but looks nicer. I don't see any compromise in going with the Heil C-Clamp. 5

[Stereo] I've used all sorts of headphones over the years, and on a suggestion from a friend I purchased these. I'm glad I did. They're very neutral, but cover great low end and high end frequencies. I do video and audio editing, and the clarity of the audio is great for these purposes. 5
