The cocoa Countryman E6i Directional Earset Mic for Comtek Transmittersis a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the lowest gain for the most powerful vocals that require the highest overload. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6i earset's cable terminates to a 2.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Comtek M-216 and M-72 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the output of a Vocaster 2 (1/4") to Mic input of a ATEM Mini Pro (3.5")? If so what connectors do I need?

A: The ART CLEANBoxPro does not convert Line level to Mic level, so it would not be suitable for connecting the monitor outputs of an interface to the mic input of a switcher. However, its 3.5mm output could be used in conjunction with an attenuator cable such as BH #WHH4NL3.5 for this purpose.

Q: 2. So this you just plug into your output and will transmit the signal in the designated channel and then you can have as many PR-216 receiver to listen to the signal? Am I getting it right? is there a maximum number of receivers that I can use, will the signal get weak if I have a large number of receivers?

A: There is no limit on the number of receivers that can be used with the Comtek BST 75-216 P Mini Base Station Transmitter and the number of receivers does not affect the signal coming from the transmitter. There are different settings for the transmitter and recommendations for setup that can help to improve performance. Here is a link to the user manual which has all of the information: http://comtek.com/downloads/BST-75-216_manual.pdf

Q: 3. Will this work with the Moment Photo Case?

A: Hello Jeremy, most cases are difficult to use with any external microphone as they vary widely. I recommend using a third party device to hold the phone (minus the case) without hindering the external microphone. Look into Joby and Beast Grip.

Q: 4. Is there gimbal, such as the Zhiyun Smooth 4, that this will work with?

A: The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 Smartphone Gimbal Combo Kit, BH #DJOSMOM3C would accommodate this microphone.

Q: 5. How is it best to clean ear buds when there are multiple users? My church won't provide the ear pieces so I bring my own.

A: You can clean your earbuds with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap, like a drop of dish soap. A toothbrush can be used to gently remove any wax that may be built up. There are also cleaning products available like HygenX by HamiltonBuhl (B&H # HAX19HRSB), which is specifically for cleaning headphone and earbuds.

Q: 6. does this work with an iPhone with the case on? Does plugging this mic in disable the speakers for playback?

A: The RODE VideoMic Me-C Directional Microphone for Android Devices will work with some phone cases, but as these are not a standard size it is impossible to guarantee. You will not be able to use your iPhone speakers while the microphone is in use.

Q: 7. Does this mic rotate after it is plugged in?

A: No you cannot rotate the Rode Videomic Me-C. You can plug it in facing either direction, so it will accommodate a vlogging scenario or an interviewing scenario.

Q: 8. how many watts ?

A: The BST-25 offers RF Output Power of 50 mW.

Q: 9. Wanting to isolate a balanced run so can I input balanced, route unbalanced output back into unbalanced input and get balanced output?

A: You may take a balanced line into ch 1 bal line in, out of line 1 Unbal line out into line in 2 and then back out line 2 bal out, so yes.Im not sure how it will sound tho, as thats a lot of conversions and impedance changes- better to use an isolation transformer, or buy an in line isolation transformer/barrel instead.

Q: 10. Would this work on a DJI action 3?

A: The Rode VideoMic Me-C is not compatible with the DJI Action 3.
