Q: 8. Is it possible to fit barn doors and a metal wire scrim in the slot at the same time?

A: It depends on the thickness. The barn doors' frame sits in the 65Q's gel holder nicely, but not tightly. You might be able to squeeze an eighth (1/8 ) inch of space out of it but not much more than that without modifications. As for modifications, a judicious use of a pair of pliers might allow you to slightly bend the 65Q's frame out enough to do what you need to do without too much change in cosmetics or function.

Q: 9. Will this fixture function as a standalone unit? That is to say, can you make intensity/color adjustments from the unit itself - or do you need to to run it through a board?

A: The Spectra series of LED fixtures does offer a stand-alone mode that can be used without DMX. In the case of the 3K white fixture as noted in the subject this would only refer to intensity. For color-changing versions of the fixture color can be set as well as intensity.

Q: 10. How may of these would we need for a 12' x 12' cyc corner?

A: The 100W Spectra Cyc is designed to be placed on 4' -6' centers at a 3' setback off of the surface. Three of these units would be recommended to light a wall of this size.
