Use this SHAPE Top Handle Adapter Plate Sony PXW-FX9from SHAPE Top Handle Adapter Plate Sony PXW-FX9to add a top handle or replace the original top handle on the Sony PXW-FX9 camera with the SHAPE Top Handle. The adapter plate mounts on top of the camera and it is also designed to fit within the U-shaped SHAPE Top Plate for the FX9. The aluminum adapter plate features numerous 1/4"-20 threads for mounting the top handle for the proper balance and your preferred configuration.

A: It does not. That is a power input, not an output.

Q: 8. Is there any chance this will fit the Sony FS5?

Q: 9. Can I mount accessories on top of v-mount adapter? I see three holes that looks like quarter inch screw holes.

A: Yes, those 3 holes are 1/4"-20 threadings.

[13 oz / 367 g] At first it seemed like a needless duplication of the original SONY part. Now this I put it on the camera I appreciate the strength it adds to the cable protection. I feel much more secure should the coiled cable get 'snared' by something while walking with the camera. Now I won't damage the cable, camera or the plug. 5

[Aluminum] It's a decent baseplate with the nice added touch of being adjustable where the camera sits. Fits my Sony VCT14 without a problem. 5

[18 x 1/4"-20] Super solid, very industrial. It looks like Shape has improved their finish - this is more polished than previous machined parts of theirs I've rented. Lifetime warranty sounds great, but I honestly doubt many people end up using it. 5

[Aluminum] It's not only a better place to have it (lower and forward) than the factory place, but the hex screw on the factory plate is such a nightmare. Only took me twice of loosening it and tightening it for it to strip, and now I can't loosen it any more. If I was you, I would order this Zacuto top plate at the same time you order the camera and replace it immediately before you, like me, strip the factory screw. 5
