The tan Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Mic for Line 6 Wirelessis a vocal microphone with a soft, flexible boom that facilitates its adjustment for different users. It's built with a larger silicone rubber earpiece making it better suited for situations when multiple users share the same mic.

The E6i earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6i earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the earset comes with three protective caps with different high-frequency response characteristics that control the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz). This omnidirectional E6i earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Line 6 TBP12 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The E6i is soft and highly flexible with a larger silicone rubber ear piece. When multiple users share a mic, the E6i is a great choice. The soft boom is durable and the flexibility makes it easy to adjust for different users.

The E6i's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6i earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. This omnidirectional version includes three protective caps—+4 dB (bright), +8 dB (very bright) and +0 dB (flat)—that controls the amount of crispness or sibilance (response at 15 kHz.)

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The omnidirectional E6i earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be use on the Nikon D-810?

A: Yes, it works with Nikon 810 fine with no trouble.

Q: 2. Do we really need it with the Zoom H6 as I have read that you can bring down the Levels in H6 upto -35db? I will be using the H6 with Canon 5D Mark 4

A: The H6 may have that feature, but I would still recommend this cable for your setup, as lowering the sensitivity that much would raise the noise floor on the recording.

Q: 3. Will this work with GH4 or Sony A6400?

A: I use it for my GH4 and it works as it should. No problems

Q: 4. Does this work with and it is essential if I want to connect my TASCAM DR-05 to my Canon 7D?

A: In order to connect the output of Your Tascam recorder to the mic input of a DSLR, you will need an attenuator cable such as this Sescom cable. It will allow the camera to receive a safe audio level, and retain headphone monitoring.

Q: 5. Can I use this cable to connect my H4N Zoom directly into my Panasonic GH4 and have the audio sync with video? Also will the headphone connection monitor the audio of the zoom or the camera? Thanks!

A: That's pretty much what it is designed to do. It takes the headphone level output from the headphone jack of your H4N and splits it into two ends, one mic-level output (male 3.5mm) that you can plug into your camera and one headphone-level output (female 3.5mm) that you can plug in headphones to monitor. BTW, my next suggestion is not what you asked about or how the product was designed, but I prefer to have a separate sound operator who records the sound on my Zoom H4N and transmits the mic level signal over a wireless pack to my camera. In this scenario, my sound operator uses this cable to monitor on headphones from the Zoom H4N while also plugged into a lav mic transmitter.

Q: 6. Is this also compatible with the Zoom H5?

A: I use in on an H5.

Q: 7. why do I get a hissing sound while using this cord with my h4n zoom and 5d mark ii? I'm guessing its best to set the interior audio setting to manual.

A: Hi Tisa,Yes, it is best to have the on-board audio set to manual with this cable. You may need to do a few test recordings to get the settings properly dialed in.

Q: 8. Can I reverse the cable sides like the camera side in the H6 line out and the h6 side into the camera?

A: You can do that but that will not attenuate your signal and defeat the whole purpose of using an attenuation cable.

Q: 9. Hi, Can I connect my zoom H4n to my Panasonic Gh4 with my k6/me66 senhiessen mic for recording into GH4? with this cable.

A: Yes, this cable will be compatible for the setup you describe Sunil.

Q: 10. Does this work with a Panasonic GH3?

A: The LN2MIC-ZMGH-MON from Sescom is compatible with the GH3 and most other DSLR cameras that feature a 3.5mm mic input jack.
