Q: 3. Buenas noches el radio incluye batera y cargador ?? Chicharo ??? Es compatible en MXICO ,Gracias

A: El radio Motorola RMU2040 incluye batera y cargador. Las frecuencias de operacin son 450 to 470 MHz. Es probable que estas frecuencias estn abiertas para uso, usted tendra que verificar con la entidad Mexicana que regula las comunicaciones.

Q: 4. Do you need a ham radio license or something different?

A: The Motorola MOTOTRBO CP200d Portable 5W 16-Channel Analog/Digital 2-Way Radio requires a license from the FCC for legal use. For business applications, a "Business Radio Service" license is required. For private use, a "GMRS" (general mobile radio service) license is required.

Q: 5. how long does it take to charge?

A: Charge your new battery overnight before using it. This is referred to as initializing and will enable you to obtain maximum battery capacity.New Motorola IMPRES batteries, when inserted into a Motorola IMPRES charger, will indicate a calibration cycle by displaying a steady yellow light on the charge status indicator. Allow this calibration process to complete by not removing the battery from the charger until it's fully charged and displays a steady green light. Lithium-ion/Polymer: Charge 1-2 more hours after the charger light turns green. In order to minimize capacity loss and cycle life reduction, new, non-initialized batteries must be stored in well ventilated, cool and dry locations. Batteries stored in these conditions may be stored:If used batteries are to be removed from service for extended periods (greater than 30 days) they should be discharged to about 50% of their capacity. Store in a cool, dry, location.

Q: 6. How long will a fully charged radio last before it dies?

A: The battery life for the Motorola RMU2040 would be up to 15 hours with battery save up to 12 hours without battery save.

Q: 7. Do you need an FCC license to operate these CP200s?

A: Yes, an FCC is required to operate the Motorola MOTOTRBO CP200d Portable 4W 16-Channel Analog 2-Way Radio.

Q: 8. Does this walkie talkie come with a charger?

A: Yes the Motorola RMU2040 model comes with a Drop-In Tray Charger.

Q: 9. How difficult is this radio to program?

A: Not hard at all. Just download the free CPS software from Motorola and purchase a RMM2050 compatible CPS cable (Motorola specs part #HKKN4027, available from many online retailers including B&H). You have to have a Windows computer or Mac running Windows in bootcamp/parallels/etc. The app is a web-app that runs in your browser. Connect the radio via USB, follow the instructions, and all the settings are selectable from drop-down menus. When done, click to store to the radio or save for later if doing multiple units. Took about 10 minutes for the first one to learn everything and 2 minutes or less each after that. I had no previous experience programming radios, so it was easy for a beginner. There are no selectable frequencies, since MURS only uses 5 FCC-approved frequencies. You can select privacy bands for each channel in the CPS software, however. All other settings (mic gain/button function/tone/vox/etc.) were also selected by drop down menus in the web-app.

Q: 10. Is there a way to configure this radio in a way that stops the LED light from constantly blinking when standing by?

A: The blinking LED function cannot be disabled.

[8x BRS] Eastside Gardens is an Assisted Living community. Our caregivers use the raidos to communicate from assigned areas in the building. I find that they have been of great value to us.

[1x 1200 mAh ] The Motorola CLS - 1110 is a fine handheld radio. It has decent range and can be programmed so as not to interfere with other radio frequencies. More than the radio, however, I was totally sold on the customer service I got from B&H. It was as good as I could have imagined leaving no room to ask for more. Thanks-

[Black] These have great battery life and also takes AA batteries. I've used them through a Retevis RT97 GMRS repeater (antenna height at 15 feet due to limitations). Through the repeater, I was able to get about 5.5 miles from elevated rural terrain and a strong, clear copy while driving around this small town. (if you don't know what a repeater is, look it up as this type of radio setup is not the same as a simple direct radio to radio communication). As far as simple direct radio to radio performance, the terrain and buildings greatly affect range. In my small town, I was able to get a clear copy up to 0.6 miles in High Power setting. That's about the average range when using this type of radio within city limits. When I drove up to slightly elevated terrain towards the outer city limits, where little to no obstructions were present, I got about 3 miles with some noise but still readable signal. Overall, a solid little GMRS radio and definitely recommend it if you need a repeater-capable radio that takes AA batteries.

[1x 1200 mAh ] Radios were purchased to allow teachers stay in contact with each other and the office, inside and out. They have better reception and clarity than any other we have tried. Hopefully will last for years.

[Yes] We had some difficulty getting all five walkie-talies to communicate on the same channel. But, as they say: when everything else fails, follow the instructions, the units are performing exactly as we needed. The easy way to program the channel was by using the multi-charger unit.
