The E-Image MFC700 Carbon Fiber Monopod 4 Stagefrom E-Image MFC700 Carbon Fiber Monopod 4 Stagehas a flip-lock leg system that can be quickly disengaged to extend the four leg sections to a maximum height of 73.6". Collapsing the monopod yields a closed length of 28.1" to shoot from a lower perspective or simply to transport. This lightweight 3.1 lb monopod has a load capacity of 44.1 lb and a foam grip for comfortable, secure hold. The top plate features a reversible 1/4"-20 / 3/8"-16 threaded post.

The included three-legged pivoting base provides added stability and features a foot-activated locking/unlocking mechanism to quickly set and release the monopod's angle. The base can also be removed to become a handy tabletop tripod and folds flat for storage.

A: It should fit, I used it with Manfrotto 502 and 516 fluid head. This is one of the best designed tripods I've ever used. One lever controls both leg extensions at the same time. Very quick setup.

Q: 4. Is this monopod's spiked foot removable, in a similar manor to the Giottos?I want to add a set of legs to it, and the monopod would require a 3/8 threaded female opening once the spike is removed.

A: No, it doesn't appear that the spiked foot is removable. The lowest section has a nice rubber cap on it, which rotates. When you turn it clockwise, the spike is extruded, but does not appear removable. Turn the rubber foot counterclockwise, the spike retracts into the rubber foot. It looks like it can be used either with the rubber foot, or with the spike extruded; the inner channel of the rubber foot does not have the female threadings you are looking for.

Q: 5. I'm planning to purchase this kind of tripod but do I need to purchase Manfrotto 520BALL 75mm Half Ball too in able for me to mount my Manfrotto 502AH Pro Video Head with Flat Base? Does it included in the package?

Q: 7. Does the new Manfrotto 2 in 1 spreader fit with these legs? Ikan does not have a telescopic spreader and the ground spreader is too much of a hassle.

A: It does not. The Manfrotto 2 in 1 Tripod Spreader, BH #MAMVASPR2N1, is only compatible with the Manfrotto 645 FTT and 635 FST series tripods.

Q: 8. I want to transport this tripod without the ball head in an international flight. What are the dimensions when completely fold, does it fit in a regular check-in bag?

A: Its folded/collapsed dimensions are 28" in length, with roughly a 8" diameter (including apex/spider). It might fit diagonally within a large check-in bag, but your results may vary based on luggage size, carrier restrictions, etc.

A: Yes, the following spreader can be removed and replaced.

A: We are not aware of alternative feet that you could use with this tripod. The only feet we know that will work are the included ones.

We use a 15-20 lbs setup so we haven't maxed out the head, but I see no reason it won't hold up. We also work with three other camera-ops who use this with heavier cameras and they all have great things to say. We are also huge fans of the carbon tripod legs with single lock. Great idea! 5

[5 lb] I've read a lot review before buying this tripod and some of them were complaining about flimsy legs, and stuck rods. Well, maybe they had a bad batch, because this tripod is amazing. It's not really heavy, and it's sturdy and well made. For the price that's amazing. If you throw like 65 pounds or more on it and you get it to full height, then yeah, this is not the right tripod and the problems mentioned might appear. 5

[5 lb] This set of legs works perfect with the Manfrotto 75mm ball head. I paired these two together to save some coin and still came out with a stellar tripod system. The locking mechanisms are smooth and durable. I love that I don't have to unlock 9 locks to operate the tripod, only 3. The legs are light and support a lot of weight which is ideal for both ENG or Indie filmmaking. The rubber feet stay in place and keep the spurs clean, Only con- wish it came with a bag! 5

[5 lb] We've had these for over a year and use them with our 9lb a7sii setup and our 11lb eng camera setup. They are sturdy and it's easy to adjust the leg height with the single twist locks. No complaints that we can think of. 5

[Carbon Fiber] Easy one hand adjustment of both leg sections simultaneously. Won't take heavy use, but for a lightweight occasional use tripod, the price is right. 5
