Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring 56-58mm

$6.00 $8.76

Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring 56-58mmallows you to add 0.8 MOD gears to a compatible lens for use with cine follow focuses. This 56 to 58mm size fits virtually all lenses of the same outer diameter. The seamless version is designed with an improvement over Tilta's earlier gear rings in that it's fully closed and requires no screws in order to be secured to the lens. As a result, it attaches to the lens more easily and provides evenly distributed pressure while ensuring zero drifting and accurate focus. It's made of durable, flexible rubber, attaches firmly, and it works silently and smoothly along 360° of rotation. The MOD rating and 56 to 58mm diameter size are etched out on the inside of the ring.

There are 14 different sizes to choose from for different lenses. Please see the list of lenses below and the compatible ring size next to each one. Other lenses may be compatible as well, but the below list has been confirmed by Tilta.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Any experiences with the Sigma 18-35 and Sigma 50-100? Which size would be best?

A: The Sigma 18-35mm Art lens has a 78mm diameter, you would need BH #TITAFGR788 instead. While the 50-100mm has a 93.5mm diameter and you would need a universal gear like BH #WILU for that one. https://bhpho.to/3kOCoMI https://bhpho.to/309Ib7v

Q: 2. Which size will fit the Canon 24-70 f/2.8 mark II focus ring?

A: Since the outer diameter of the Canon 24-70 f/2.8 mark II lens' focus ring is 82mm, the 81 to 83mm would be the best fit.

Q: 3. Will this work with ronin's focus motor?

A: Yes, the Ronin S and RS2/SC2 focus motors have 0.8 MOD gears, as well as this Tilta Focus Gear Ring.

Q: 4. Will this fit a Tokina 11-16mm AT-X Pro DX II EF lens?

A: We would recommend the slightly wider version 75-77mm as shown here https://bhpho.to/3mQ3pjC

Q: 5. What's the zoom ring size for rf 15-35 and rf 70-200?

A: Unfortunately, The new Canon RF lens models have not yet been tested by Tilta. Tilta provides the following ruler to help you measure your lenses for their Seamless rings. https://bit.ly/3oUrrgH

Q: 6. Hello! Which gear ring would I need for a Canon 50mm f/1.4

A: If this is the lens you own. . . Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Lens (B&H# CA5014EF) https://bhpho.to/3yTPlNz . . . then since the manufacturer lists it as being 73.8mm in diameter, many people would first try this option: Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring (72 to 74mm) (B&H# TITAFGR7274) https://bhpho.to/3Jk1ct8 Since preferences regarding fit can vary, however, with the Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring (75 to 77mm) (B&H# TITAFGR7577) or with any similar focus gear ring, you may prefer one that is slightly larger or smaller, which is why you'll want to rely on your preferences and experience using this type of stretchable ring. Given the low price, many people buy a set rather than just an individual ring so that they can be sure they have a ring that meets their needs and preferences on hand at all times.

Q: 7. Would this work for Canon RF 24-70mm lenses made for Canon mirrorless cameras?

A: You're better off with the 88mm to 90mm ring if you're using the Canon RF 24-70mm f2.8 lens.

Q: 8. I am looking to get these for old Nikon Ai-s photo lenses and a few voigtlander lenses. Is the diameter the same as the filter diameter or do I need to measure around the focus ring somehow?

A: Please use this ruler to measure your lenses for the correct size seamless Tilta ring. Ruler - https://bit.ly/3TlOugU

Q: 9. Hi! Which one for the: Sirui 50mm f/1.8 Anamorphic?

A: The proper ring for this: https://bhpho.to/3e64SPM

Q: 10. How many teeth per inch are these TA-FGR-5658, I need to know so I can get a belt to fit this gear?

A: Tilta does not list the teeth count of the Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Ring (56 to 58mm).

[0.8 MOD] Great follow focus gears. Easy to install. Easy to separate into two pieces of needed. All our lives we found up when doing math and whatnot. Be sure to round down when ordering these rings if your on the bubble of size options.

[0.04 lb] This is just what I needed and fits the lens perfectly with no shifting. Seemless build & very nice quality. This is a perfect fit for the focus and zoom barrels on the Sony 24-70 7 f2.8 II

[0.04 lb] These Tilta Seamless Focus Gear Rings are incredible. I have one on every lens I own now. It's kind of a crapshoot getting the right size (don't always assume that your filter size is going to be the correct choice) because many lenses have different barrel diameters due to design or focus grip bands. Some of the rings bought for the filter size needed the next size up, but for $2 I just bought a bunch and ended up using all but one of them. They work perfectly for follow focus, but also with the focus motor on the DJI RS2 so you can toss the annoying adjustable strips that fall off or get caught on the motor all the time.

[0.8 MOD] my old focus gear ring broke so i got one of these guys. It's bulkier and wider than my old ring and works great with my follow focus throughout the barrel of the lens. it's kind of like an extra thick rubber band that's hard to stretch but its not very difficult to install

[0.8 MOD] This size fits perfectly on the Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. Fits snug and doesn't come loose. Good just by itself without a follow focus. Helps you feel for the focus ring without looking instead of moving the zoom ring.

[56 to 58 mm] Tired of tie wrap mounts and bulging straps? How about a ridiculously low price? Now you can afford to put gears on ALL your lenses and keep them on as well! I did, 4 Nikon adapted primes, 3 Canon's (zoom and focus gears), and 2 Sigma's (zoom and focus gears). Narrow focus ring? no problem, you can easily slit the ring to 1/2 width, it's pre-cut. This clever size specific slip on design deserves an academy technical award! Go to Tilta's web site for popular lens sizes and measuring instructions.

[Rubber] At such a low cost I bought a variety of sizes for all my lenses. They fit perfectly on my set of Sirui anamorphic lenses. I do suggest getting snug fits to keep them from sliding on the lens.
