The dual 18" D.A.S. Audio ACTION-S28 is a passive subwoofer that’s portable, versatile, and simple to use. It is designed to supplement a main PA speaker, offering a louder and deeper bass extension to the ACTION-512, -515, -525 or any full-range PA speaker, and it's suitable for audiences up to 300. When used with the required amplifier and speaker processor, the subwoofer is easily setup to help working presenters, musicians, instructors, performers, and A/V providers get powerful, clean, and clear sound quickly.

The subwoofer provides 139 dB of peak SPL—plenty of volume for mid-sized venues including houses of worship, conference centers, performance spaces, and meeting rooms. An amplifier delivering 4800W peak power drives the two 18” woofers, providing a deep, clean, and detailed bass response with a frequency range of from 160 down to 33 Hz. Each woofer features a 3" double layer voice coil to boost system power, while a forced convection circuit reduces the effects of coil heating, impoving the system's overall performance. 

The rear panel sports two speakON connectors for input and output, allowing you to daisy-chain to other subwoofers. Two side handles offer ease in transport, while the integrated pole cup allows for speaker pole mounting of full-range speakers.

Q: 8. What's the difference between this DRM 18S cab and the SRM 1850 cab? Why is there no specific sub for the SRM215-V-Flex cabs? I want to get the latter but your Mackie sub lines are confusing.

A: There are several differences between the two models and the best option would be based on your system and the type of application you would be using the subwoofer for. The DRM18S-P is a passive subwoofer capable of handling 500W RMS and 2000W peak power from a separate power amp. The SRM1850 is an active subwoofer which has a built-in power amp capable of producing 800W RMS and 1600W peak. The frequency response range and threshold for SPL are the same for both models. The DRM18S-P can be mounted on a pole or suspended while the SRM1850 is designed to be placed on the floor or stage and should not be pole mounted or suspended. I hope this information is helpful. Q: 9. are all sides magnetic or just the bottom?

Q: 10. What about 48volt phantom power? Do the mics still get enough juice?

A: The Hosa Technology YXM-101.5 XLR Female to Dual XLR Male Audio Y-Cable is not designed to split signals from microphones directly and therefore may not provide adequate power to a microphone requiring 48 volts.
