The D.A.S. The Event-115A utilizes a 1200W Class-D amplifier to power the 15" woofer to provide a frequency response of 40 to 125 Hz with a peak SPL output of 131 dB.

The birch plywood enclosure is finished with black ISO-flex paint and includes handles (one per side) for ease in transport. The rear panel offers two combo XLR-1/4" inputs, two XLR loop-thru outputs, a level control, and an integrated DAScontrol DSP with presets, EQ, limiting, filter, and alignment delay. The top panel offers a pole-mount socket for use with 35mm speaker poles for mounting full-range speakers as well as matching rigging points that are compatible with the Event-26A. Additionally, the D.A.S. Event-115A features a PowerCon input and pass-thru to daisy-chain power to multiple subwoofers and ships with a power cable.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would two of these JBL SRX815P 15" Two-Way Bass Reflex Self Powered System (tops), together with two of these JBL SRX818SP (sub-woofers) suffice for a DJ event (EDM or Hip Hop) with 50 people IN AN OPEN SPACE? Or double it up? Also, how would I connect the tops to the subs? (Model number?) Also, any competitor model which you could recommend instead of the JBLs?

A: Although speculative when estimating how well a speaker will fill an open space, each JBL SRX815P 15" Two-Way Bass Reflex Self Powered System offers 2000W of power on its own, which seems significant for a small crowd of 50 people. When paired with the JBL SRX818SP 18" Self-Powered Subwoofer System, source audio would feed the subwoofer, and the subwoofer would feed signal to the tops with standard 3-pin XLR audio cable.

Q: 2. Hi I'm going to buy this subwoofer for my nephew he has a 6 channel mackie mixer will he be able to connect to the mixer Thks

A: Yes, as long as the mixer is passive (does not have a built-in power amplifier), it can be used with a powered subwoofer like the Alto Professional TX212S 900W 12" Powered Subwoofer.

Q: 3. Is the power rating of 100 watts continuous, RMS, or peak?

A: The 100W rating for the American Audio APX CS8 Powered Column PA System Mixer and Bluetooth (Black) is peak power.

Q: 4. Can this speaker have eyebolts attached?

A: Yes. This kit includes three M10 x 35 mm forged shoulder steel eyebolts with washers.

Q: 5. With the volume set at nominal level, does the monitor pop when the power is turned on or off?

A: I have not had any hum or pop turning it on or off. I also use balanced, shielded cables when recording in the field. This monitor has worked quite well for me :)

Q: 6. Is a power cord included?

A: Yes, a power cord is included with the D.A.S. Audio Vantec 218A Dual 18" Class-D Powered Subwoofer System.

Q: 7. Hi, what is the continuous SPL?

A: 1600 W RMS

Q: 8. How well will this unit work for live music with Guitar, Vocal and backing tracks for audiences from 50 to 100?

A: The American Audio APX CS8 may be a bit underpowered for an application like this, as it is only a 100w speaker with an 8" LF driver. For amplifying live music to an audience of 100 people, I would suggest a pair of 10 to 12 inch speakers with greater wattage.

Q: 9. What would happen if someone bangs into the narrow speakers while they are connected (or a child pulls it), will they crack, or will they simply pull out?

A: The three portions of the top speaker on the American Audio APX CS8 plug into each other in such a way that if the assembly were pulled, while plugged into the subwoofer, then the most damage would happen at the point where the subwoofer meets with the upper speaker.

Q: 10. include power?

A: This does not include a power supply. You will need the one listed below: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/766323-REG/Remote_Audio_PS12V1_5A_12V_DC_1_5A_Power.html

[131 dB] I have the Yamaha 8S speakers and use them in my video editing room. I have been waiting for this matching subwoofer to arrive---tremendous difference in the low end audio....surprising for an 8 speaker. Also added a sound isolation pad which I recommend.

[1x Each Side] Had to do a five-hour DJ set at a local park and the sound quality from the Fender PA system more than exceeded my expectations. Sound could be heard all around the park and all in attendance left the venue satisfied

[90.5 lb] I purchased three SRX815P and two SRX subs for my church. We have been using them for about two months and I could not be happier. I was planning to purchase the PRX series or potentially a different brand but the first time I heard the the SRX series I had to have them even though they were outside of my budget. I have had multiple comments on how great they sound. I am very happy.
