Q: 8. Will this work with 42mm tube? 42mm is 1.66". It's pretty close.

A: No, it will not be able to close with a pipe that is over 1.61 inches.

Q: 9. Can this clamp expand to fit over a 2 1/4” dia. pipe?

A: All of our clamp are designed around a 2" diameter tube. Since 2-1/4" diameters are not common in the trussing industry, I cannot confirm the fit.

Q: 10. Can the eye bolt be removed? Is it an eye bolt or eye nut?

A: Yes. Easily be removed with an allen key and is a screw.

[Jaw] This Global Truss Medium Duty Clamp with Half Coupler clamps and couples like no other. It is the perfect solution to my Global Truss Medium Duty clamping and coupling needs. I cant wait to clamp and couple more Medium Duty Global Truss! On a serious note, it is a minor source of frustration to rotate the clamp with respect to the couplers pin position. The bolt comes from the factory tightened to an extreme (better have a long-handle ratchet Allen driver handy), and it seems that the coefficient of friction between bolt head and clamp is higher than that between clamp and coupler, meaning the clamp wants to rotate as the bolt is being tightened. 5

[Proprietary] I'm not using it for lighting or stage, but rather a ham radio antenna. I bought it specifically to use at the base of a mast pole that I needed to tilt over to where I could reach the top and do some work on it. Using this clamp and a pole pounded in the ground, I was able to tilt the top down without the base sliding away from me. 5
