The interior rubber O-ring ensures the case is air and watertight. Carry your case with the comfortable, soft-grip handle. To maintain proper pressure, the case has an air pressure release valve.

[Handle] The HPRC 4100DK waterproof hard case is exactly what I was looking for to protect my Sony HXR-NX5U Camcorder. I wanted a hard case small enough to easily carry the camcorder in the field on hunting and fishing trips. After investing over four hours searching for a professional quality hard case that would fit the camcorder without the being overly bulky I found the HPRC 4100. Hinges, latches, handle, material strength, and operation of opening and closing the top are of the highest quality. On the interior the optional padding kit is also of high quality material. The two soft bags included in the kit are great for taking up extra space around the camcorder and giving a tighter fit. This case can handle the roughest handling but lacking a tightly fitting customized pluck foam interior that surrounds the camcorder the camcorder will move around inside the case if the case is takes a tumble and is rolled around. This case is top opening which is very convenient for opening the case since it takes up a lot less space to open compared to a side opening case. If a shoulder strap is a feature you want you will have to purchase it as an accessory. 5

[Latch] The case and accessories were exactly as advertised, including interior measurements (most important to me). I am completely satisfied. (I wasn't quite sure about the usage of some of the included accessories, as no instructions were included.) 5

[Empty] Although HPRC's hard equipment cases are the classiest hard cases on the planet, they are also strong, light and just as important to me: color coded. Between the case colors and handle colors, I have managed to organize my gear by application. For example, yellow cases hold monitors, and black cases with yellow handles hold associated wireless video transmitters. The sky blue handles on black boxes like this one, remind me of electrical discharges. Hence all batteries are placed into these cases. Not only dos this help be recognize what is in a box 'at a glance,' but security is far easier, as I might have 20 boxes at a gig. It is also easy to recognize my brightly colored boxes vs. those of other shooters, as well as keep track/count of my gear also ' in a glance.' And as I said ... they are classy the usual sophisticated Italian flair in design : )! They are a bit more expensive then cheap ABS plastic boxes and some copy cat cases, but they are as strong as Pelican cases, and a lot lighter: due to intelligent, clever design.
