[1 TB] As a cynical/snarky video editor I was looking for a drive that would perform well for a (7) mulitcamera HD edit. This drive was all that and more. What really threw me was the fact that it's the size of a Snickers candy bar! Dang it's small! It blows my mind that something this diminutive could perform so well. It was up to the task. The source footage (several 78 gig files) was copied off a PC. I then connected it with the provided Thunderbolt III cable to my new Mac Mini (3.2gHz 6-Core/i7/32gigs RAM/1 TB SSD). The drive was instantly recognized (no PC/Mac format issues) and off I went to work. The Helix Dura enclosure got warm but never hot where I was concerned. To be cliear I intentionally got the Dura version because the chipset is more robust and didnt want to risk any speed issues. I'm glad I did. Great drive. Bite!

[1 TB] Good drive, but if you are a Mac user, be sure to reformat the Drive to MAC OS Journaled. It used to be the case that ExFat was okay if you needed to share a drive between a Mac and a PC user. But with the newer OS updates, my ExFat drives no longer read the data in Final Cut Pro X. What a hassle! I have to buy another one of these just to use it as a transfer tool so I can re-format my ExFat drives. That takes a lot of time and money. Hope that helps someone out there NOT to make the mistake I made.

[ PCIe SSD ] I was able to easily add the Oyen drive to my iMac and move files from a corrupted drive before it failed totally. The Oyen drive is fast and as an SSD, noise free.

[1 TB] I bought the Dura version of this SSD because the chip set is better suited for professional video editing. It's faster than the Helix version and I paid more for the bump up. I have it connected to my Mac Mini via the included Thunderbolt III cable. I'm amazed at how fast this thing is! Using Adobe Premiere I'm able to push through 7 streams of AVC50 intra with no problems. The unit (The size of a Snickers candy bar) gets warm but has a heat sink on the outside so it doesnt get hot. And it's silent! The computer runs quite well with the drive attached and there have been very few hangs as I have used it 5 days in a row. A winner!!

[1 TB] Purchased this to enable me to move larger chunks of data while organizing some 500,000 photos. Connected to an iMac which is also attached to a Pegasus DAS. It is working well.

[ PCIe SSD ] I don't often write reviews but as this has none I felt like it was needed! I paired this with an Acasis Thunderbolt enclosure TBU405 and it works as advertised. Speed tests with CrystalMark show 2669MB/s read and 1738MB/s write with default testing setting, 16GiB, 5 files transferred. This is compared with 2656MB/s read and 1741MB/s write with the same enclosure with the Sabrent Rocket 4 8TB. Both got similarly toasty but within reason at 56 C under testing loads.

Some things to know: I initialized this drive first on a Windows 10 PC and it would NOT work on my MacBook Pro, I had to start the process over with the Mac instead. It works great on both with exFAT file system. I have not tried using internally as this was never my intention, it could perform differently compared to the Sabrent Rocket 4 in those conditions. I would hope the speeds are faster when used internally. I cannot attest to the longevity of this drive given I have only had it a week. This is currently the least expensive 8TB m2 nvme ssd on the market and at this point I would not have any reservations purchasing this drive over a competitors.
