Yongnuo Yn0906 Ii Led Video Light Black

Yongnuo Yn0906 Ii Led Video Light Black
  • Product Code: eq78020
  • Availability: In Stock

$63.99 $76.79

The Yongnuo YN0906 II is an on-camera LED video light with a black chassis and daylight-balanced color temperature output. The light fixture mounts onto your camera using the built-in cold shoe mounting foot. Individual buttons for power, flash, and brightness level (stepped dimming) are easy to find and operate with one hand. The flash setting on the light is compatible with select Canon and Nikon cameras with a hot shoe.

This lightweight fixture includes two filter sheets, one a white diffusion and the other a CTO filter that converts the fixture's daylight-balanced output to tungsten (5500 to 3200K). A noteworthy feature of the light is that either filter sheet serves as the battery compartment cover, providing storage for the filter that is not in use and reducing the overall weight of the light. The YN0906 II is powered from four separately sold AA batteries, either alkaline or NiMH.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this item actually only capable of 5500 Kelvin temperatures? The photos pictured here are like the 360II unit that I already have - which does both 3200K and 5500K.

A: This model can either give you a 5600 Kelvin Color or an RGB mode.

Q: 2. Question: since the 5500k version doesnt have the bi-color option, does that mean that the unit it brighter than the bi-color version? I did get a chance to see the bi-color version of the light up close and it seemed like half of the 320 leds were for the 3200k and the other half were for the 5500k. (Minus 40 leds for the color bulbs as well)

A: Yes the 5600K version would be brighter while the bi-color version would give you nearly half the output in daylight mode.

Q: 3. I also need to understand how many batteries does it take to run these lights, can it run on just 1 or does it need all 4. I don't see how many batteries the light comes with. What about using Anton Bauer ow Watson batteries?

A: As per the manufacturer, using only two batteries will only power half of the LEDS, while four batteries will power all the LEDS. It cannot be used with Gold Mount batteries from Watson or Anton Bauer.

Q: 4. Is the battery removable for airline transport? I'll need to carry-on the batteries per airline regulations, but would like to store the wand in my checked-in hard cases.

A: I'm sorry, no, the battery is built in.

Q: 5. What colors does the feature?

A: All of them... -except black (lol)Its a full RGB color scale. so pretty much any color you can think of and set on a color wheel in the smart phone app, or you can use the dial on the light to set RGB values

Q: 6. How's the color accuracy. The original light wand was slightly magenta

A: Id say it is as close to perfect as youd expect at this price point but it is much less magenta than the last model...

Q: 7. Where can I get the optional 12v AC power supply for continuous output?

A: The proper AC power supply for this light is the Fujia Appliance AC Power Adapter (12V, 5A), B&H # FUACAD12V5A. https://bhpho.to/2KtGXeR

Q: 8. AC power supply for the light

A: We bought an ac power supply to use with this light

Q: 9. Is the light come with the A/C adapter?

A: No, but it is handy to have:a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1323076-REG target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1323076-REG/a

Q: 10. Hi, i bought these lights, but i have a problem with them. When I turn on one light, the other turns on too, like magic, is there a way i can disconnect them?

A: You can change the channel the unit is setup on.

[CRI 85] The good:
-Bang for your buck
-Lots of light output for this price point
-Affordable
-Very lightweight, love this about Yongnuo panels and I have a Yongnuo YN600 too. Panels from other manufacturers I've used (Dracast, Impact) don't pack down as small.

The bad:
-Noticeable noise, probably my biggest complaint about these but I sort of expected this for a sub-$200 light
-Haven't tested personally but the fact that you have to have 4(!) NPF's all hooked up to power this thing from battery
-The fact that it doesn't come included with wall power is crazy
-Probably color accuracy, but now I have a mix of affordable LED's from like 4 different brands and they're all pretty close in practical use on location, dealing with natural light spill too so a tiny bit of shift is fine. In a studio setting for primary use this probably isn't the right light.
-The included lightstand mount is garbage and doesn't tilt.

I purchased two of these to light a white backdrop and it worked well. They're a little spotty, but I used the included diffusion, and they had enough kick that I could take the background to full white for a waist up shot. Would need more power or more lights for a head to toe on white.

[5500K] I needed a key light that wasn't a ring light and this is PERFECT! Semi-budget friendly, great quality product. I've had in for YEARS and over performs for my needs. The *only thing to note* is that the fan *does* hum noticeably so if you use this with video, know you'll have to edit that out in post but honestly, I don't even care. This panel is SO worth it. Also, I haven't traveled with it but it is about as small as a tablet/laptop so super portable! Love it! :)

[Yes] This is the best video light I seen so far. It's actually consumes 98 watts of power. You'll need to buy the power cable separately. Solid build and the fan is very quiet which help keep the leds cool. High power led do make some heat when over 12 volts of power.

[CRI 85] I'm a makeup artist and this ring light is perfect for my work because of the fact that I can change the color of the light... so it made my life easier for sure.

[CRI 85] You can't beat this LED lighting panel for the price -it's bright, has decent color quality, and has excellent control options. Build quality is adequate if you're an owner who's careful with his/her personal gear, but it's not rugged enough to survive heavy use by careless film students or commercial renters. Its main shortcoming is its fan which cycles on & off to prevent overheating, which is clearly audible in a quiet room. This can be fixed by replacing the fan which costs $14 on Amazon & takes 30 mins.- full DIY instructions are on YouTube; just search for Yongnuo Hack Loud Fan Fix.

[CRI 85] Plenty of light and the 1200 beads are smartly distributed in the panel. The fan works continuously which makes the lifetime of the battery a bit shorter, however, I am using STROBEPRO NP-F970 batteries where I can cover a 6 hours event using 40-60% power.
