A: The lights are led's and aren't user replaceable.

[2x] The extra light is especially helpful. Replacement L1131 Batteries are easy and inexpensive to replace. I have one magnifier at work, one at home and I've purchase another for a co-worker who liked the magnifier. I store the magnifying glass safe from scratches in the pouch that comes with it. The rimless glass makes sense and is a quick and convenient tool for reading labels and other small print. Highly recommended. 5
