Remotely control all the features of CONNECTED CAM GY-HC500 and GY-HC900 video cameras over an IP network using this JVC RM-LP250S IP Camera Remote Controller CONNECTED CAMfrom JVC. The controller allows you to control one camera, and it features dial and joystick control, multiple encoders, zoom, focus, and iris control of your camera wherever it is on your LAN. The industry-standard size controller measures 4" wide and supports PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) on a supported network, so it cuts down on wiring.

The controller connects and powers over its RJ45 port, and it can be upgraded using a USB port. Its OLED screen allows you to view all the settings and allows you to navigate through the menus. Additional controls include gain, master black, autoexposure, white balance, GPI preview, shutter, tally, detail, and character output mix.

Q: 1. Does the video or audio cut out between clips on longer recordings? (legal work)

A: No, camcorders do not automatically stop recording, unless the memory card is filled or the battery dies. Therefore, it would be recommended to power your camera through the included AC adapter and record on a big enough card to record all the footage you need.

A: The JVC RM-LP250M IP Camera Remote Controller requires 100Mb/s Wired LAN for operation.

Q: 3. When using this with the JVC KY-PZ100 Robotic PTZ Network Video Production Camera, do I need a network router in the mix, or just a PoE switch to connect the cameras? That is, can I have just this controller and the cameras attached to a switch as a standalone setup?

A: Yes, the Varizoom VZROCK-J600 JVC Zoom/Focus/Iris Controller (BH #VAVZROCKJ600). This is designed for JVC camcorders that feature a 2.5mm control input.

Q: 5. Can this controller be used to control other brands PTZ cameras? Eg Panasonic AW-UE70

A: We would be of the opinion that no, it would not be able to operate other brands of PTZ cameras. If you have a Panasonic AW-EU70 we would suggest using the Panasonic Remote Camera Controller B&H # PAAWRP50.

Q: 6. Is it PAL or NTSC version or both?

A: This camcorder will shoot in both PAL and NTSC.

Q: 7. Whats the size of the DC In connector? Im trying to find a replacement ac adapter and there is no specs for it.

A: JVC does not list the size of the connection. They do not supply to us the correct adapter. Therefore this is a factory replacement part. Please contact JVC for the replacement part.

A: This camcorder has an integrated lens which is made by JVC.

Q: 9. We are considering using 2-3 GY-HC500s on location streaming SRT over the Internet. Can these streams be synchronized at the receiving side (studio)?

A: Yes, that should be possible.

Q: 10. Can this controller operate with the JVC LS300 and other JVC IP camcorders?

[4.06 lb] This makes the operation of Sony PTZ's so much easier with many of the main function's at your fingertips. Designed for the latest series of camera's but i'm using this with BRC H700's, Some function's are not available with the H700's but hopefully Sony will make more happen with a firmware update. 5

[4.06 lb] I have three of these controllers. It is a wonderful improvement to the older one, However, The manual does not have an index. It is pretty difficult to navigate the logic of the various control menus. 5

[4.06 lb] I give the JVC HC900 5-Stars! Excellent Camera all the way around. Caution....The on camera microphone requires a 5-pin XLR connection. The nearest 3-pin XLR jacks are located in the rear of the camera below the battery. If you purchase a 5-pin male to 3-pin female XLR cable, it will need to be at least 16 in length. Weight is about 18.6lbs with battery. 5

[6 W] Sony RM 30BP is a tool that allows one person to control many cameras. Many of Sony's camera work perfect with the remote, some will have full control of the camera. The ability to change setting in camera with this controller is a must when your in a rush. Using in a multiple camera setup with one remote is not ideal. Multiple camera and multiple remotes is ideal. The downside is cost and Sony needs to address the issue of the remotes being slightly defective. When zooming out slowly, sometime the remote will continue to zoom out unless assisted to stop. Bad for such a high priced remote control. Plus it would of been great if the buttons were backlit, making changes a dark room is really challenging. I have 2 remotes looking to add 2 more, but have had bad luck with finding good ones, without the defect as described above. All the ones bought from B&H have been good. Other sellers not so. B&H the greatest.. 5
