Handhold your DSLR or small camera rig then quickly mount it onto a tripod using this CAMVATE Quick Release Baseplate with Dual Rubber Handgripsfrom CAMVATE. The rig includes a Manfrotto-style baseplate with a quick release plate, bottom tripod plate, two rubber handgrips, and a standard LWS 15mm rod clamp.

The core of the rig features the baseplate with a quick release camera plate with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting screws that allow you to mount and unmount your camera with ease. The bottom plate features threads to mount the rig on a tripod or separately available plate. A 15mm LWS rod clamp is attached to the baseplate and allows you to attach separately available rods for mounting accessories such as a follow focus, matte box, or extension arm. Two micro 15mm rods attach to the center arm, and the two included rubber handgrips mount onto the rods. They can be adjusted up and down and rotated 360° for just the right position.

A: The Tilta Quick Release Baseplate for Sony FX6 provides two screw insert spots to connect your camera. One of the inserts will fit a 3/8"-16 screw, while the other one fits a 1/4"-20 screw.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the peak design dual plate v2?

A: Yes, the SmallRig Arca-Type Quick Release Baseplate is compatible with the Peak Design Dual Plate v2 for Capture Camera Clip. Due to the length of the Peak Design Dual Plate v2 for Capture Camera Clip, it is recommended that it be fitted right next to the clamp of the SmallRig Arca-Type Quick Release Baseplate for optimal security.

Q: 3. Is this compatible with Arca Swiss 3 Legged Thing L-brackets like the QR11-2.0?

A: There are variances with Arca Swiss plate sizes between manufacturers. However, The Smallrig 2143b is an Arca swiss compatible quick release and would work with other Arca swiss compatible plates or adapters like the 3 Legged Thing QR-11.

Q: 4. What's the support piece that you need to add to this to actually support a lens?

A: The support works with most Lens Adapters such as Metabones, Fotodiox, Novoflex etc. Most Lens adapters have a tripod foot with a 1/4" 20 threaded hole. the support is designed to screw into that hole and support the lens via the Lens Adapter. The included support is not designed to connect directly to a lens therefore if you are using a heavy E mount lens and wish to support it we recommend purchasing a separate lens support that will mount to the 15mm rods.

Q: 5. Can this mount fit a panasonic CX350?

A: Yes, the CAMVATE Handheld Shoulder Mount Rig with Manfrotto Quick Release Baseplate will fit the Panasonic AG-CX350 4K Camcorder. It may not have the proper support from the small baseplate of this setup and may need to be replaced by something with a larger footprint.

Q: 6. Will this fit the Atomos Shogun 7 HDR Pro/Cinema Monitor-Recorder-Switcher?

A: The CAMVATE Monitor Cage Kit with Adjustable Rubber Handgrips is a Universal monitor cage that will work with most 5" to 7" displays. Which includes the Atomos Shogun 7.

A: Yes, the CAMVATE 10" Dovetail Plate and Quick Release Baseplate will accept one or two 15mm rods. Both rods can pass all the way through the plate.

Q: 8. Does it fit to a NIKON D850?

A: This is a slide in plate.

Q: 10. Do they sell the lens support screw by itself? Where can we find a replacement support screw?

A: The Tilta Quick Release Baseplate for Sony FX6 lens support screw is not available to be purchased separately from the baseplate.

[2.425 lb] Sturdy construction, very easy to setup. I actually rigged mine so that the battery and transmitter plates are mounted off of the bottom of the monitor plate which allows them to be mounted for lower center of gravity and at a 90 degree. Leather handgrips are really nice and the neck strap is well-padded/comfortable too. The whole setup mounts onto a baby pin adapter and comes with an assortment of DC power cords to match the battery plate which is a nice touch. Well-worth the money! 5

[2.425 lb] With a lot more mirrorless cameras being able to capture 10-bit/RAW/ProRes HQ internally nowadays like the Nikon Z6iii, it means there is less necessity for full cages and rigs (at least for me anyway). I have not much need for a monitor anymore, and have swapped out cages for the Nikon for just a simple arca-swiss L-bracket. This is the perfect fit for my needs. The L-bracket can side load or snap in from above and locks firmly in place. The only time I need 15mm rails is for a v-mount battery hinge for extensive shooting lengths; when needed I just throw the v-mount hinge on the rails and run it through the PD-USBC port via D-tap. The Sirui 15mm carbon fiber rails are lightweight and have less noisy rattle when traveling in the case; if you need heavy duty rails I'd look for stainless steel option but for the price you can't beat it for simple setups. 5
